i am talking about the whole season, how many times have we thrown it on shotgun 3 times to settle for a FG from the 5?
Fair enough. In any case red-zone play is obviously a problem. It's almost like Dez-in-the-corner was so nearly automatic for years that the organization forgot how to score in close quarters otherwise.

Rule of thumb. Every 100 yards should average about a touchdown. 600 yards = 42 points.

To be anywhere close to contenders this is the area we MUST improve.

Since we got Cooper, we are beginning to show signs on offense of our 2016 team. The biggest actual difference is that our offensive line can't give Prescott as much time to throw and Elliot as wide of lanes, simply because they aren't as talented and healthy as 2016.

Nonetheless we are proving we can move the ball. But no matter how good our defense is or how good they can play week to week (still have to prove on the larger stages how they will perform), our offense MUST start scoring touchdowns in the red zone and limit turnovers.

If we can do that, we MAY be able to legitimately compete with anyone. If we can't our luck is going to run out sooner rather than later imho.

Remarkable to have won at all yesterday, given the mistakes (and some bad calls).

They were able to put 29 on a non playoff contender with 3 turnovers, but that won't be the case come January.

This crappy offense/playbook isn't capable of doing such. I don't know why you guys are trying to make this the Rams offense when its not.

I was there, not watching on homervision. Eagles lost 10 points to bad calls. How many did the Cowboy win by?

Tyron Smith 3 holding calls. They sure don't look like holding calls. Yet no holding calls against the Eagles.

The personal foul on Zeke for using the helmet. It was the defense that should have been called for that foul.

The personal foul on Tank for hands to the face. Replay showed Tank didn't even hit his man in the face. Another dumb call.

The call on Gregory for roughing the passer. Dumbest call ever.

Other holding calls against the defense. Yet nothing was called against the Eagles. Especially that last play where Cooper was held. Thought should have been called holding.

Thinks fans are now seeing the impact (red zone) of Dez and/or Witten the coaches/FO fail to address. We simply don't have a go-to player down there. This is exactly why I think Stephen Jones mention TE as top offseason priority. It also why as we've learned, Jason has approached Witten about coming out retirement.

Funny thing is other teams make it look easy various play designs.........

Yeah we won. Don't get caught up in the yardage vs point total. Enjoy the victory.

Dallas will watch the tape and clean it up. Dak turning over the ball will be fixed, the missed blocks, everything we be fixed moving forward. This team is special and their desire to win can be seen throughout the game. I see a team that is hungry.

D-Law, A Brown, Byron Jones and the entire defense looks like they want to destroy opposing team. This defense is elite. Enjoy what you are watching.
Lol... this is rich. Daks miscues will be magically fixed through practice and film study? Our real issue is when we get inside the 15,and the field shrinks, dak struggles with quick decisions and precision passing in those tight windows. It is what it is. We can just hope things continue to get better. The team is SPECIAL? the 85 bears were special, the 18 and 0 pats were special, the 2000 ravens were special. As we sit, we are just another , decent, 8 and 5 team.

How many more of these "We won, but I'm not happy about it!" threads are we going to have? Jeesh..

The Eagles were #1 in the league last year in redzone efficiency. Its basically why they won the superbowl.
That and pretty much their entire team playing over their head.......and their backup QB winning the SB MVP.....It's nice when that happens.

I totally agree. We left a lot of red zone visits on the field or on Maher's foot yesterday. Over the next few weeks, I would like to see more creativity in the red zone.
Agreed, btw, what's up with the lame screen call to rico? No down the seam or red zone look. A screen to a 6'6" tight end.

We've scored more than the league average three times, four counting yesterday including the OT period.

All hail the 2018 defense.

11 penalties for 111 Yards. Killed some drives, we are not good in 3rd and longs.
