DeFilippo will be replaced by quarterbacks coach Kevin Stefanski, the team announced. Expect Stefanski to have very strict marching orders as to how the offense should operate, with those orders coming from Zimmer. Worth noting: the Giants wanted to bring Stefanski to New York with former Vikings OC Pat Shurmur, but the Vikings blocked him from leaving for that position. This promotion could keep him in place with Minnesota through 2019.

That thought went through my head last night. It seemed as if he ignored Zimmer's command to run the ball in some short yardage situations last night. Zimmer was red as a beet after those plays.

He will be back in Philly after the season, if not sooner.
If I was philly I would not hurry. They look to be getting a pick near the top ten or low teens might as well use the rest of the season to evaluate the roster.

They still have a chance at the wildcard, and technically the NFC East.

Zimmer is always beet red.

Flip was one of the main reasons why Philly made it to the Superbowl and won with a backup QB.

He's very much missed in Philly.

I think he would be a great replacement for Linehan. We have all the pieces put together. We just need a good OC to call plays that fit this offense.

What're your thoughts on this?

I wouldn't consider the vikings offense a juggernaut. I'm more inclined to think Frank Reich was one of the major contributors to the Eagles' success last year. Who really knows though. I think some of it just boils down to chemistry between personalities and talents. I'm indifferent on Linehan as an OC. But our Red Zone numbers make absolutely no sense for a team that can run the football.

Went to school at JMU with John, he's a smart guy. I am sure he will land on his feet.
