Turns out that win last week against the Eagles was HUGE.

With the results of today's games Philly would control their own destiny and would need to lose their final two games and we would have to win our final two games because they would own the divisional tie breaker.

Philly would be 8-6 out in front of the East
Dallas would be 7-7.

I was undermining the importance of that game because I thought for sure Philly would lose to the Rams in an away game and we would be favorites against the Colts.

Man, was I wrong.

I'll let this be a lesson to never go into a game thinking the results are unimportant because the outlook of the schedule.

When you control your own destiny, they just worry about what you are doing. My guess is the Eagles will win out now so the Cowboys must win one of the next two. Honestly, if the Cowboys don;t beat the Bucs next week, then my gut tells me they won't beat the Giants on the road either. Not sure it matters because the offense on this team is not good enough for the playoffs.

Slim chances, but the Skins also have a hot and cold Titans team and then Philly

This is why I offer no apologies.......we've earned the right to be in this position. Just think whole was tired from the 5-game win streak. Remember they were under pressure to win EVERY ONE of those games......

I have every bit of confidence they'll bounce back and be fine next week.........

If we didn't play to lose against the Skins, we might have won that game. If we went for it against Houston in OT, we might have won that game. If we would have fired Garrett 8 years ago, we probably wouldn't be having this conversation.

We have every right to panic

Remember 2008

Oh we just gotta beat baltimore or philly and were in were 9-5 so were good

Then we get pants’d by both teams

The wheel of mediocrity is more likely to continue with a playoff birth that ends in a first round or division round loss. Garrett might even get an extension out of it.

THE NFL wants the NFC east to be decided in week 17. I should no better. No way do they want every wrapped up by week 16
