Who's the leader of this team?

I saw JJ Watt getting in the defense's face after they allowed the Jets go down the field with a long drive and give up 3 points. Do we have a player who could do that for us? Either side of the ball.

I think over the years too many times Jerry has been the leader but that's no good.

Michael Irvin was the leader. You still see it in him today. We do not have an individual that could do thatb@nd then we are saddled a wallflower coach who thinks he’s an intellectual.

You don’t go from 3-5 to 8-5 without leadership being present in the organization.

We laid an egg yesterday. It sucked. I get it.

However— it doesn’t mean the 5 game win streak was meaningless, or the world is ending, or that everyone on this team is “trash” as so many are saying.

It’s one bad L. No more. No less.

Let’s see how they respond on Sunday. If they win the division— all their goals are still in play, and the new season start in January where everyone is 0-0 again.

When you don't have leadership, it makes it harder to win it all. To win it as an underdog who has to go on the road, you almost have to have a player like Ray Lewis to lead to team or a coach who's a great leader. We have none of that.

Silly post. We have more leaders than most of the NFL.

Who? I don't see even one. Dak? no Zeke? heck no, Jaylon? too young, not a leader personality. LVE too young. So who? Sean Lee is probably the closest but he's no Ray Lewis/Michael Irvin/JJ Watt type leader.

Just being a good player does NOT make you a leader.

Wow what a worthless thread. Did we need this? So what, JJ Watt got in someone's face, that's not leadership. JJ Watt has barely been able to stay on the field the past two years and has never been past the 2nd round of the playoffs so who cares what JJ Watt did. They were also playing the Jets. Where was JJ's 'leadership' last week against the Colts?

So because you had issue with what I said about Watt it suddenly makes my point untrue that we lack leadership? What are you a Garret ra ra guy? There's no leadership on this team.

It's not leadership as much as immaturity IMO. A little too big for their britches!

Sunday will be a good guage as you said.

Yep. Getting in someone's face and yelling doesn't make you a leader it just makes you a person getting in someone's face and yelling.

No

There's no leadership on this team.

How do you know? Where was this ****** topic during the 5 game winning streak? I know where no where to be found. You post this bs after a loss. How convenient and unnecessary.

Disagree. Dak, Zeke, D Law, Lee, Jaylon, Crawford, Zack Martin, Tyron are all guys that do it the right way and are influencers on the team. By the way-- you can have good leadership and still lose games in the NFL lol... Good teams lose bad games sometimes. This happens every year-- just keep it in perspective and see how they respond on Sunday.

Dak may not be the most skilled, but he is a leader. There are different ways to lead...Tony Dungy never was an in your face guy. I remember reading once, that he never swears.

They are definitely a young team... so immaturity may certainly be a factor. I have watched a lot of football and yesterday's loss came down to a few factors IMO:

1. First drive stalled out and blocked FG gave Indy a HUGE early momentum swing. We were driving the ball well-- and offensive inefficiency reared its ugly head again (so did poor special teams play by the way). This erased points, gave them a boost, got the crowd rolling, and made us push a bit too much.

2. Defense got worked over. Give Indy some credit. They protected Luck well and had a good game plan against our D. Of course, inside info from Eberflus always helps as well lol...

3. Poor officiating. Not blaming the entire outcome of the game on the refs-- BUT, it was clear Indy was getting the calls-- and I counted about 8-10 obvious, blatant holds on our DL that should have been called (lots of others that "could" have been called but would have been more ticky tack). On the other hand-- we had several ticky tack holds called on us. These calls/non-calls ended our drives and extended some of theirs. Not saying it is 100% why we lost-- but the officiating was a FACTOR for sure.

4. Playcalling. We tried to re-establish momentum by being aggressive-- but we got burned. Their D stepped up and we stalled out and failed to keep pace with their offense. We were pressing and just were off our game offensively.

5. Snowball effect. Once you get behind far enough-- you are no longer playing "your game" and you are off your identity. The team was shell-shocked and frustrated (much like NO was against us honestly) and we just took our lumps and decided to pack it in.

6. Buzzsaw Factor... Indy flat out needed this W more-- and they came out hungry and desperate. We came out business-like and got punched in the mouth. Had we scored an opening TD, I think the complexion of the game would have been quite different-- but this happens every year. You get behind and the game gets away from you. Then you start pressing, fail some more, lose confidence-- and take a bad L.

What we lack is a player with SB Championship experience. It is like winning the SB is a disqualifier for playing for the Cowboys now.
