Dak certainly deserves his share of the blame. He played poorly.

But Sunday's loss was a team effort. To focus just on Dak is not looking at the bigger picture. Everyone, including the coaches, had a hand in that loss.
I don't know why guys are blaming Dak for the shutout. Dropped TD pass and blocked FG. I'm usually one of the guys that is hard on Dak but come on. There were a lot of problems on Sunday that led to a shutout.

Since the last shutout (2003).

Vinny Testaverde
Drew Henson
Drew Bledsoe
Brad Johnson
Jon Kitna
Stephen McGee
Kyle Orton
Brandon Weeden
Matt Cassel
Kellen Moore

Most of these qbs were led by defensive-minded head coaches in the pre-video game offenses era. Garrett + Dak are a special type of ineptitude.
Your trigger game is strong.

But the best QBs in franchise history WERE shutout? Meredith, Staubach, White, Aikman, Romo are not on that list

Hmmmm...
They all played for the Boys a LOT longer than those other turds so they had many more opportunities for it to happen.

It's funny that peeps here don't realize that the cowboys organization, print writers, tv and radio commentators , social media sports bloggers and analysts actually read the zone.

They do. And lots of them do. The zone actually has juice in the cowboys world

Moore wasn't, now we have just cause to fire him, clearly he's not coaching up Dak properly. :p

It’s an interesting factoid but I’m sure there have been equally bad efforts over the year where someone kicked a meaningless field goal or the defense scored the only points.
Valid point. Just because Indy didn't allow any garbage time points doesn't mean a handful of other teams didn't.

Why do Cowboys fans keep acting like Dak was the only one that played bad. Actually Dak was probably the best of the bad. We really should be worried about our defense since they looked like they have never played football before and they are supposed to be the strength of our team.

in The Landry Era...we lost 38-0 v st.louis in 1970...Craig Morton started I believe.

in '85 we lost 44-0 to chicago with Danny....then lost the play-off game v rams 20-0.

Losing sucks.
BEAT tampa.

So if Olawale catches that pass at the 1 yard line or the FG isn't blocked this thread doesn't exist. :muttley:

People keep going on about "shutout" as though Dallas couldn't get a first down (had 19 of them).

It was the same old problem of not finishing drives, coupled with an unusually rough day stopping the run.

A hundred years ago I got into an ongoing argument on the DMN Forum about a late round draft pick. I started getting PMs from a guy who never posted, giving me ammunition for the argument. The kid was later cut so I finally asked the guy if he was a friend, agent, etc. He was the player's agent.

You can spot a silly Dak hater from a mile away by the way they keep harping on the shutout.

Totally Dak’s fault that the FG was blocked and Olawale dropped a bunny in the endzone!!!

I'm sure SAS comes here for his Cowboys Hate material, it's a very self loathing franchise.

List of Cowboys QB’s to win more than 10 consecutive games during a regular season, in franchise history:

Dak Prescott

See, this works both ways.
It’s dumb either way though.
But, carry on.

maybe its playing on sunday, on the road, on an even date, at noon. It was a perfect storm. Doomed before it got off the ground... sigh.

A stat that means less than nothing, especially considering the missed FG, dropped TD pass, and PI that absolutely, positively should've been called that would have resulted in at least 3.
