CowboysZone ULTIMATE Fan
I enjoy a good football talk with good football people. Your cantor is always appreciated.
You make new fans every time you visit. It may take some of them a minute. An hour. A day. A week. A month. A year. But at some point you will get new fans after they read your stuff the first time.

Not counting those who are totally dense, that is. :muttley:

How can Elliott score 2 TD and Bryant (???) score 1 TD and we only end up with 12 points?

Elliott with an INT is also very interesting.

And the Buccs miss all 4 extra points to score 24 points on 4 TDs? :lmao2:

It would be 6 Buc's TD's... 4 passing 2 rushing... though at least we held Barber to zero passing attempts. :p

When two heavyweights meet each other like this, eyeing the promised land with a common goal, it's easy to go off on a diet tribe, but with friendships that we have, like this one. it's non-difficult to discuss professionally, without throwing mud on each other, and without opening up the pandora's box of momma jokes, it just makes things that much simpler and smoother, and chatting about neat stuff like each other's plans for the holidays like who's going to put the star on top of the tree or who's turn it is make the gingerbread house and how long you should leave the lights up after the new year (which I believe should be on January 3 since January 4 would be too late, on that note, I have a neighbor that keeps her lights up all year long with some dangling on one side and then some bulbs are out which drives me crazy when I head off to work at 11pm on my drive), yet we still make it through with smiles and such and keep our rivaler banter going back and forth while keeping that friendship in tack, you know?

Excellent analysis as always, Pittman4Two. IMO, your backfield threat represented by RB Peyton Manning shall be the toughest challenge for our men donning blue and silver.

I love this guy. Makes me wish the Bucs were in our division

Could you imagine if an Eagles, Giants, or Commanders fame came and did this? That thread would be absolutely incredible to read. As it is, its hilarious when Pittman does it (half for the OP and the other half for the people that take him seriously).

Good morning all!

I trust you've had a fruitful yet thoughtful holiday season up to this point. These are the times to gather together with a good cup of egg nog and share sweet nothings in front of the fire. We all hum the holiday tunes from Nat King Cole, Kenny Rogers, Johnny Mathis, Elvis (Presley), and Adam Sandler. We watch the classics like the Gritch that Stole Christmas, Charlie Brown's Great Christmas, First Blood, A Christmas Story, and, my favorite, Ernest Saves Christmas. These are the times my friends.

The unfortunate part is that the outcome of this Sunday's affair may have you down in the bah humbug dumps after the Pewter Pirates raise the red flags in victory at the Port of Dallas. The red and pewter hues will grace the streets of Irving and El Paso, cannon fire will be heard as far as the Mississippi River. Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life it will be.

As the Buccanneers continue building their foundation of talent, skills, and talent, be not dismayed by our "record" or power ranking. This is all part of the plan to return the pirate ship to the Sea of Tranquility.

Below you will see my breakdown of matchups and analyzations. I look forward to a discussion via communication;

When the Buccs have the Ball:

A national champion, the #1 overall pick in the draft, Jameis Winston has shown consistently what type of player he is to the NFL league on a weekly basis. There has been no shortage of wow plays. If Dallas has a chance this game, it would be if, and only if, they can pressure Winston into an eel-advised play like an interception. We all know Jameis doesn't turn the ball over unless a blatant penalty is not called (which has happened more than I'd like to admit). Peyton Barber plays RB and continues to get positive yardage week in and week out.

The Cowboys defense is suspect at several levels. Their linebackers are young and inexperienced. The secondary continues to rue the day Deion left the doors. The defensive line has shown coverage inadequacies. I do like Rod Merrinelly though. He's really coming into his own. I

When the Cowboys play defense:

Leighton Van Esch. I read about this player this week. Reminds me a ton of Cato June (superstar LB). His focus on the ball, his tackling ability, and his knack for playing defense. Cato was ruthless like a wild duckbill platypus. He sniffed out his prey and pounced in an instant! You should keep Leighton on the team.

Mike Evans' consistency as the #1 WR in all of the league is on display this week to the captive Dallas audience. It would not surprise me to see him triple covered on passing downs. Look for Dallas to cover him when he's on the field. Cameron Brate is a rich man's Jason Witten. I bring him up since he was a Cowboys and you know of his skill set. What Cameron does have on Jason is age and durability. Witten has yet to play this year and it has visibly hurt the production of the Dallas offense. Garrett and Wilson should look to replace him at the offseason (which is nigh).

Summarization:

The talent of the Red and Pewter is just too stacked to jump over. I look for the Bucs to assert dominance right after the kickoff in a low scoring affair.

Final Score:

Champs 24
'Boys 12

Box Stats:

Prescott - 12/26, 111 yards, 2 TDs, 3 INTs, 1 Pick
Elliott - 19 rush, 41 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT
Bryant - 4 rec., 59 yards, 1 TD, 1 rush, 20 yards, 2 catch, 62 yards.
Witten - NC/NS

Winston - 21/23, 398 yards, 4 TDs, 1 INT (typical PI no-call by refs)
Barber - 27 rush, 132 yards, 2 TDs, 0 pass attempts
Evans - 12 rec. 112 yards, 2 TDs
Brate - 6 rec., 68 yards, 0 TD

Thoughts?

Very well written and thought out. Despite being a Cowboy fan I agree with all of your assessments. Well done

Jimmy Johnson vs John Gruden, this game is gonna be epic! If the Cowboys can keep Mike Allstate and Key West Johnson out the end zone, I think they win.
