It really is pretty amazing to think that at the midway point of the season they were 3-5 and they finish the season at 10-6. Couldn’t really ask for anything better. I’m sure we all thought the season was over at that point and to be where we are right now is remarkable. Go Cowboys!

And this is how we continue on with mediocrity. Jerry is the master salesman and has already sold you on another season with JG. Next week it will be, "gosh, it was just neat to be one and done in the playoffs."

when we were 3-5...I thought our season was over.
then.
we went on one of those Landry-like runs to turn the season around...and just like the trade for Amari Cooper felt like a season reset....this stretch of wins feels like something special is bout to happen this post-season.

At the end of the day, it really just ended up being scheduling. The beginning of the year had tough matchups for the offense: Panthers, Seahawks, Texans, and the Deadskins defense was still playing well with Smith managing the game on the other side. If the schedule was composed differently we might have had the same record, but no big streaks.
Also the luck component can't be ignored... our close games record probably isn't sustainable (historically NFL teams are about 50/50 in games decided by one score) and I have read a lot of articles suggesting we are a good team to predict to have a fall next year when that normalizes a bit.

Oh wow, another one that just can’t enjoy what has just happened.
Making the playoffs.

3-5 to 7-1 hats off to the players, the front office, and the coaching staff for making it happen! We beat some really good teams during that 7-1 stretch! Had we not shocked the world & beat the Saints, we probably wouldn't be in the playoffs!

I'm so glad that I was wrong about the Amari Cooper trade.
