And doing that with teams that are near the tops for youth and inexperience overall on the roster.

"Tied" is a fairly narrow statistic. What about "Trailing by one touchdown or less" in the 4th quarter or OT?

Romo was great in the clutch. He doesn't need an elite running game either to be clutch. He also doesn't need training wheels. Romo was allowed to have th entire playbook because of his greatness. He also did something consistently that DAk and Brees struggles with. He won on the road.

In my opinion none of these stats ever matter because no matter who you are comparing they played on completely different teams against completely different competition

Wow, I knew Dak was clutch but seeing this is an eye opener. Can't coach or teach this.

And he took us to the playtoffs exactly 4 times in 10 years, winning just two games and only getting one bye week. If he 'didn't need training wheels', he would've led us to the playoffs more often. Don't even mention Romo in the same breath as Brees.

Romo also got us to 10 wins just 4 times with his 'no training wheels'. Turns out that football is a team game and every QB needs a decent supporting cast to succeed.

If it never happens again in his career (but it will), Dak has already matched Romo in getting us a bye in the playoffs.

With a worse line and worse defense than dak has. Also, Zeke is better than Murray.

Bree’s has Payton. He’d be just a guy without him. Show brees record after the big contract when he had no defense and running game. He lost.

Romo went through that his whole career. It was romo dez and witten. Ware was free at but couldn’t do it alone.

Are you saying Romo is/was a better QB than Brees?

As great as Romo could be in the clutch he could be just that bad in games that mattered . The WIN OR GO HOME KIND that leave you 8-8 in the NFL purgatory of no post season and poor drafting position .
You are 100% right he did not need or want a running game . Tony didn't want to run the ball himself even if there was a boat load of open space in front of him nor waste plays letting anyone else do it . Tony loved to pass and he was damn good at it most of the time .

Sure he was allowed to use the entire playbook but only cared to use the passing part and opted out of the run to the point teams baited him to do it . Ray Lewis had a field day with him and so did many other defenses pulling men to the box so he would kill the run then knowing he NEVER snapped the ball before the clock was on one second and backing out for the pass.

Tony was a great passer one of the best in NFL history that's what he wanted to be and that's what he achieved . Dak is a great FOOTBALL PLAYER and a WINNER that's what his record is reflecting so far .

Hey, the poster said Dak needed 'training wheels'. I'm assuming the good defense, Zeke, Amari, and whoever are what constitiute 'training wheels'. The point is that every QB needs pieces around them to succeed, and Romo did no better than Dak taking us to the playoffs, the only thing that matters.
