My thoughts. Who is Dak?

First of all the throw wasnt over thrown to Cooper. Amari stumbled early in the route and by the time he was back on balance the ball was already in the air. Dak put the ball in a safe spot where only Cooper would've been able to get it. Cooper just looked the other way. miscomunication on a route that was doomed from the get go with cooper stumbling.

This is exactly how I saw it as well. A missed opp., but really no ones fault. Dak will get bashed for it regardless.

And while Jarwin played great today, i think it was more of how bad NYs Lbers and S' are.

It was also a function of the extra attention teams are starting to pay to Amari Cooper. Double him up and you take your chances with Beasley, Gallup, and Jarwin.

My obsession? Because im quoting the narrative of the of the Romosexuals? I stopped dwelling on Romo when Dak took over in the preseason. The day that happened people called me crazy because i said Romo getting hurt was the best thing that could've happen to the Cowboys. Not because i was glad to see him hurt, but because it allowed the team to move on from a QB whos body couldnt take the hits anymore.

And while Romo won some close games, alot of Dallas' close games with him ended up in a Romo int. Lets keep it real.
Keeping it real starts by not taking any of your troll posts seriously.

Dak has gotten away better. Hes gotten better during the course of this season. Sunday he was on point he anticipated receivers getting open, he was looking off the safeties, I think he even pump faked a DB. He has grown tremendously as a pocket passer. He is finally stretching out. All QBs go through this slump in either their second or third year, if they dont go through it on their first. Either your are throwing incompletions and picks, your numbers go down from the previous season or you're taking sacks . The good thing is we are still winning. The next phase for him is to put it all together consistently. He needs to recognize what the defense is trying to take away and how they are trying to bait and he needs to learn how to drive the car that means he doesnt care what you take away because he has seen that before and he can say" I can beat that", " I can beat that too with this". He will get to the point where he can just pick defenses apart. That's what he did yesterday. It helps that young guys like Gallup and Jarwin are starting to come into their own at the right time.

Not at all as those who follow what i post will be the first to say i dont get overly excited or overly upset over wins or loses. and especially over players. Because im a fan of the team, not of specific players. I was critical of him vs the Colts and i was put in a box with the regular crying posters.

I think about the game played that day and move on to the next. Today he played a great game. And it just made me think that this guy just wins games. Wins big close games. And when the game is on the line, the coaches have no problems putting the ball in his hands.

This kinda goes back into what Darren Woodson has said this past week. And for me when the game is close and Dak has the ball there isnt a time where i say this team is going to lose. Because since his first game as a pro vs the Giants i dont think he's lost one of them games.

I like that about him, I like how the young defense steps up and doesnt lose games the way they did in previous yrs.

For me this is just an exciting time to be a Cowboys fan, because they are so young, and they seem to be building the team in a way that they can sustain this success unlike before where they were keeping players too long. And the team is showing that those days are over, as how they moved on from Bryant, and how they've been quietly moving on from Lee. I like what i see.

Now if this kind of excitement i have about the team im a fan of bothers you or pushes you to feel the need to throw a subtle shot then so be it. Because next weekend ill be the same way. Enjoying the team i been rooting for since i saw hershal walker run over the patriots.

Another good post and I agree. Let's hope for the best. This game will be won on the defense getting some stops.

Before anything that involves stats or accuracy, the thing that jumps out at me is he's a Leader and a Winner. He was drafted in the 4th round, so clearly he needed work. But after 3 yrs, he has had more success and better stats then any QB from his draft.

So while fans can cry and gripe about him not being accurate, him not having pocket awareness. In big games he shows up and wins. In big situations he wins. At the end of games, he wins. What more do fans need? Do we need 400yrds and 4Tds and a loss, or a balanced attack that just wins games? Fantasy football and madden have warped fans brains into thinking just because they do things in a video game that its easy to play in the NFL.

Fans will compare Dak to the guy he took over for, and the favorite quote is "Romo would win a superbowl with this team". NO he wouldnt, he couldnt win a playoff game with one of the best teams in Cowboys history in 2007. They dominated on offense and defense. Dak shows better poise then Romo ever did with the game on the line. That TD pass to Beasley was amazing. And an even better catch. Dak put that ball the only place that would've been completed. It was picture perfect, and what made the catch harder wasnt the placement but Beasley lack of height. So he had to reach. A Taller WR catches it easy. But great catch by Beasley.

I know people are going to say Dak missed deep throws today that would've been TDs. SO WHAT!! he took the team to TDs on those drives anyways. He missed a guy but overcame that and drove the team down and scored TDs on perfect reads to Jarwin and the game winner to Beasley.

He balled out today without Tyron and Martin and Elliot. The game was in Daks hands and he nailed it. The defense was abused but Dak put the team on his back and won the game. The game winner, he alludes a sack and throws it while taking the hit with a perfect placement, when the team needed it. Last down, he either makes that throw or they lose. And the outcome was the same as its been his whole professional career. A win when the games on the line and they need a TD. Daks doing something the team hasnt had since Aikman. A QB who could win you the game late. And no Romo never gave them that.

you will get your answer Saturday night.

Just not comforting seeing Russell Wilson on that list...not comforting at all. Just blow them out.
Russell is scary for sure. He is the kind of guy I can see Dak turning into with more effort. But yea I do not want a shootout with him for sure.

32-16 pretty much says it all. He’s a winner. The haters love to point out his deficiencies like no other QB has any. He gives them life because they need to hate. It’s in their DNA. It’s what they do. Its what they live for.

nice try but who is Chis Hogan you are comparing A Cooper

chirs Hogan <<<<<<< AMARI Cooper

and Dak can not miss those throws esp I n the tight games we play in

Lol, why does it matter who it is when they're wide open and get missed?

yea but how do you DAK miss a throw to wide open A Cooper - I mean none of the good QB's would miss that throw

can you see Brees or Ben missing that

Brees could have had two INTs against us, if Lewis didn't drop the first one Brees threw. And Brees throw an awful pass next to Kamara that Lewis picked off. How many throws did Brees make when a defense pressures him and shut down his strengths? Complete Fabrication to act like the good QBs don't miss wide open throws or the "easy" throws. Dak doubters exaggerate the throws that Dak misses, combined with underplaying the throws that other QBs miss just to trash Dak.

Almost like some watch only Cowboys games to not know that every QB misses throws, which is why you don't often see a QB with a 40/40 completion rate. Or that you watch other games and see QBs miss throws/throw INTs, but you underplay and excuse those QBs, if you support or like them. Or give them more leeway with the throws they miss, because you believe them to be elite. Like how Wince Supporters on this board, ignore the bad throws that their savior misses to wide open WRs.

I just want more routes exposing the middle of the field, especially with Cooper and the TEs. I want more slants.
