What's the deal with Garrett?

Maybe, just maybe, he was a bit subdued following one of his players shattering his leg, and he held the player's hand in what had to be an emotionally difficult moment even for a robot.

Good point, when Lance Lenoir made a brain-dead special teams penalty Garrett slapped him on the back and said something like "next time" or whatever. Most coaches (and obviously most fans) wanted to strangle Lenoir and the team had no problem cutting him when they needed his spot, but Garrett has a different approach than guys like Jimmy Johnson.

Jerry seems a bit tired of Garrett, it may be that he was told he'll get fired if we lose to Los Angeles.
Garret is getting a 3 year extension as soon as this season is over. He's contemplating exactly how many millions he's going to demand for his raise!

Something seems off with Garrett.

It's obvious he got tired of the clapping criticism because he's not doing that anymore.

In fact, he's not doing anything. He looks stone-faced with no expression whatsoever. Almost like he's depressed or just got some really bad news or something.

He wakes up to complain about a call now and again, but then it's back to his blank stare.

Is he worried about his job? Does he know something we don't? Is he just dying to clap and he's trying to control it? Too many late nights with Fortnite?

I prefer the former Jason. He looked awake.
he got serious after a close call with getting fired mid season, I like him all work and just getting in few decsions here and there and getting after a ref..this is the post season..

Noe of you ever happy first hes clapping clown now you miss it.. I rather have the stoic look ala Landry with the occasional fire because you know its serious in those moment.. tell him grab a cool hat..

I'm sure that the image and the moment was tough to shake, and probably hard to be overly elated afterward. Say what you want about Garrett, but the guy does care about his players.
But he's been like this the past several games.

He's winning. It's the look of confidence.

During the Sunday morning broadcast, someone on the NFL Network, Rich Eisen maybe, referred to him as the clapper. If you watch his post game speech, he leans at about the 25 second mark and starts clapping continuous with a smile, maybe mocking anyone who gives a **** that he claps too much and the team laughs. I don't think anything is going on with him.

He didn’t used to talk. Ever. Now I see him speaking to others. I like it.

The only thing I feel safe in saying is it has nothing to do with the silly clapping criticism on websites like this. But it's true he does seem more tense and concerned and uptight, and if we knew what was causing that we would probably know why he isn't clapping .. or smiling much ... etc ...

Stop stop, he does still clap. He was clapping Saturday. People find anything to make a mountain out of a mole hill

No, I'm seriously curious. Something is going on. I hope it's not something personal he's dealing with. I hope it's as silly as clapping urges
Maybe his intensity level is going up, the closer he gets to the SB?

Taking his role seriously for the first time of his decade long tenure.

Maybe he had an epiphany like Romo did late in his career.
