Think fans are underestimating the impact LVE and Jaylon Smith has brought to our D. They are damn near taking away the intermediate area away from teams while stuffing their running game. Not to mention they are allowing Martinelli and Richard to be more aggressive with their play calling. The Saints game was a classic example..... most times Brees either had now nothing open or was forcing the ball.
Concerned that Lee may be playing 25 snaps....keep LVE on the damn field.

That'd be nice.

The Rams average 31 at home, and Dallas averages 17 on the road.

Something has to give.

We have averaged 21 on the road since the Titans loss, and I think the Rams defense sets up very well for us to score more than our average. Our D has only given up 30 only once all year. So I really see this being a game that probably ends up like 27-24 one way or the other.

I have zero fear. This Dallas team is like the grind and pound Spur's team from the early millennium:
Put this game into the mud. No matter the talent differential, or game-plans- this game is going to be close at the end.

It'll be anyone's game.

Not that everything goes to plan, but I'll take Clutchscott over Goff in pressure situations right now. And that's what this team does. Take it to the hilt and pull it out.

So much unintentional innuendo in this post!
I need to go scrub my brain with lava soap...

I agree with your basic take (and that you need to wash out your brain with soap, but anyway). This version of the Cowboys is a grind-it-out team. Control TOP on offense; swarm to the ball on defense. The Cowboys have a national reputation as a glamour team, often more style than substance. But the current version is much more blue-collar.

All that said, people here are underestimating how talented a passer Goff is. If he gets decent protection in this game, we’ve got problems.

True buddy. No argument. Thank goodness this Cowboys team has some talent in that front 7 to cause havoc even when they go 4 attack.
I'm no prophet so I make no claims, but this is going to hopefully be a very cool game to watch.
I'm optimistic.

Jesus h Christ. We’re good for 20 points maybe
Here are the scores from their home games. The really good news is that they can’t stop anybody either, but like it or not you are going to get pulled into a shootout.

ARI W 34-0

LAC W 35-23

MIN W 38-31

GNB W 29-27

SEA W 36-31

KAN W 54-51

PHI L 23-30

SF W 48-32

well if the cowboys can score twenty the our chances are good being 10-0 so far.

Goff is a young QB and with any young QB you want to pressure them and force quick decisions as well as change up coverages

If you were actually going by rankings, the Seahawks (twice), Chargers and Vikings would all be highlighted before the Eagles...
Like the vignette said....Goff fell off after he lost Kupp. He was hot then he started falling apart. I don't expect a miraculous turnaround. We have the hot hand.

Good defense cause problems for all QB
Drew Brees will attest to that
If we can pressure him and contain gurley, and the offense can convert 3rd down and limit their plays we can win this game
I just don’t want a shoot out because that plays into their strength

You think the Chargers, Vikings and Seahawks have a better D than the Eagles? I don't........

BTW...the Chargers played 7 DBs the entire game against the Ravens coz they had no healthy LBers. Their head coach admitted it was a gamble the scared his shetless and he won't do it again.

Kupp was really a lot like Thielen with Minnesota. When Minnesota was rolling, it was because they were targeting Thielen early and getting him into the game. Second part of the year for some reason Minnesota basically ignored Thielen in the first half of games and then would start looking for him in the second half.

Their passing game is still good, but the loss of Kupp was big. He was on pace for 80 catches, 1100+ yards and 12 TDs.
