That is what sucks! I feel like had we stopped their run we could have made Goff force some bad decisions. He didn't look that great to me in his limited playing time.

Dak did outplay Goff, which is why it's beyond idiotic for so many people on this board to use wins and losses as a method for ranking QBs. Teams win and lose, QBs can either help or hurt the team's chances - Goff didn't play particularly well, he didn't have to. Dak played better than him, but it wasn't nearly enough.

Change my mind

Dak- 20-32... 266yds .....1TD..... 1Rushing TD
Goff- 15-28 ....186yds.......0TD

Other than completing a higher % of passes for a larger amount of yards, and scoring more points despite Dallas giving up way more pressure- Dak was outplayed.

Dak rose to the occasion. The Rams had a great game-plan to stop Zeke and make Dak beat them. He made some plays. The D just came up way too short in that game. Wish Dak would have used his legs more. I think there was a couple of plays he would have a better chance than Zeke with a RPO.

Matter of fact, Wentz outplayed Dak in the second meeting if you wanna play this game
How many were the #1 overall pick being coached by an Offensive genius?

Just saying that game is over and it is time to give Dak the credit he deserves and has earned
Credit for driving the bus? Sure...I'll wait to give him credit he throws for more than 23 td passes in a season

It’s just Dak excuse time. Dak was mediocre and all you are hearing from his homers is excuses and it’s everybody’s else’s fault.

Guess what?

The Rams didn’t respect Dak’s arm at all. And the Rams secondary is garbage.

Dak floundered for the whole first half plus. After the scripted drive ended in a TD like usual this was the chart:

1. 4 plays and out him THROWING TWICE on second and third.
2. The very next series after Zeke rushed for 5 yards on first, Dak goes 0 for 2 on three and out, meaning THROWING TWICE.
3. Dallast THREW 6 times and ran Zeke only 3 times while he was averaging 8 YPC and Dak takes a sack to put them out of FG range in the next series. And of course that was on softer coverage with three minutes to go in the half.
4. The very next series again, 3 and out and Dak THREW TWO attempts while Zeke ran once to begging the second half.

IT WAS 13-7 for pretty much the whole first half and Dak absolutely blew chunks even with the defense ‘sucking’. NOBODY CAN SAY ZEKE WASN’T RUNNING THE BALL HERE or Linehan wasn’t letting Dak play with his arm. This was PASS HEAVY MEDIOCRITY.

DAK COULD NOT KEEP PACE WITH THE RAMS FOR A WHOLE HALF WITH HIS ARM DESPITE IT BEING 13-7 and the Rams defense should have had a pick 6, just like the Seattle secondary should have had a pick 6.

He got his first TD while scripted and the second in usual Rams giving up big plays in a single drive when Aqil Talib went out. Joyner left his man wide open and blew coverage on a 1st and 20 and did what every CB is NOT supposed to do.

As soon as the Rams reinsert Aqil Talib and Wade stops dropping his DBs like 10 yards off the WRs because of this mediocrity Dak again can’t doing anything and only scored in prevent when the Rams gave them everything underneath and all he was doing was checking down. And even then they gifted him a PI on another horrible ‘escap’ from the pocket on a garbage throw on Aqil Talib.

MEDIOCRITY.

Comparing this performance to Romo and his defense is a joke. The Rams were selling out to stop the run just like every team this year and we’re daring Dak to beat them. And he couldn’t.

It's all related. Yes Dak was ok with numbers but he layed an egg yesterday. Way too many off target passes. Many times he could have ran for a first but got sacked or threw a bad pass. He was part of the failure, a big part of it.

I think it's harsh to say that Dak laid an egg yesterday, because he played about the way he plays. It's not as if he was terrible, he was Dak. He missed some throws, he failed to run when he had a chance, he also made some really nice throws in there. I'd say Dak played a pretty typical game for him, so he didn't IMO lay an egg. He just wasn't good enough when the running game didn't work and the defense couldn't stop the Rams all night.

The difference between Dak and Goff is that teams don’t play single safety deep with man coverage on the outside.

They drop players to prevent the big play. On the other hand, teams DARE Dak to beat them with his arm.

He stat padded in prevent and this guy was basically taking the checkdown over the middle immediately and didn’t throw any sideline routes or try and get yardage in chunks. His clock management was trash at the end as they slowly walked up the field to just throw five yard dump offs over the middle from the snap.
