Before next season the Cowboys need to improve DL, safeties, OL, and add a better TE, 3rd LB, slot WR, and punt/kickoff returner.

The blueprint to win is to dominate offense and defense LOS and take what the opposing D gives.

The coaches took the games out of his hands in the drives where we failed in the 2nd half.

We were down by one score and the coaches ran
The ball into a 10 man front on 4th and 1.

All 4 of the 4th down plays the rams were all stacked and bunched for a run up the middle and twice the Cowboys ran outside and made it and twice they ran up the middle and failed. Both outside runs were Prescott run option or give it to Elliott And I don't understand why the Cowboys didn't keep running that until tyhe rams proved they could stop it.

Dak had way too many over and under thrown balls to Gallup and Coop, with troy mentioning it on TV, for me to think Dak played good. We might of won if Dak had made those.

I think he's gonna miss throws in every game. You can probably always make that claim about anyone in any game. Hard to say if those would make a huge impact on the game though given how the Rams offense were playing, and how our defense was playing.
well excluding the receivers from having a great day isn't fair since I only think Gallup and Coop had a great day.

I'm not excluding the receivers from having a great day. I'm saying other than Coop, Gallup, and Dak... who else had a good day on our team? Dak had a good day, not an all-Pro day. But he put us in position to win down the stretch. That 4 and 1 missed conversion was the key play of the game. Sure, there were lots of play that could've impacted the game and we have to look at others too, but given that we had the momentum and Dak was allowed to go into his regular clutch mode which he's the most comfortable with, I somewhat felt confident he could've given us another score and possibly tied the game, but instead we fall short of the first down line.

There's criticism of every player on our team right now... from Elliott to D-Law. Those are all going to be 15 mil+ dollar men. Dak simply doesn't deserve the crux of the criticism right now. Is my point.

If I'm Dak, I make sure to get out of this trash heap. No way would I waste my career with the Garrett, Jerry Jones circus. Another typical 2nd round exit

You just prove just how little you know about the Cowboys. Prescott was a 4th round pick not a 2nd round pick.

Then what is a 2nd round exit? I didn't know exits had rounds. Usually when someone said it's another X round exit it's in refertence to the round he was drafted in.
.

I would assume another divisional round loss meaning a second round exit. Round one is wildcard game, round two is divisional, round three is championship game. This isn't hard to decipher :muttley:

I think Jarwin is going to be a really good TE. The Cowboys have Austin under contract for 2019 and I think the Cowboys will resign Beasley and use Austin as their punt/kick returner so the slot is taken care of. I doubt that they find safeties in the draft that will be better than Heath and Woods. I do think the Cowboys are going to need to find Tyron Smith's future replacement because it seems like he's missing games every year with injuries. I think Lee will retire but on the other side if they find someone better than Wilson fine.

Tough game. Defense didn't play well, but that was a given.. Thye played a very good offense and all things considered fought hard. held them to field goals...

End of the day, the game was there to be won. They dared dak to win with his arm. With a more efficient QB we win this game.

This guy has so much more than most QB's the team has all the things in place to make noise except for ... DAK.. One of the best olines, one of the best RB's one of the best defenses, good wo's this guy can't win.. he's a scrub. Resigning him and loosing out on other more important players that we should resign will be imprending mediocracy for this franchise for more years to come. He is the issue.
Than go cheer for another team cuz the kid ISN'T GOING ANYWHERE!

You're right I should have picked that up. I don't think Prescott is thinking that way though considering where the Cowboys were at 3 - 5 and where they ended up. I'm sure he's disappointed but I also think he's already thinking on what he and the Cowboys can do to get further next season. He's proved he's not a quitter.

First thought, did you watch the same game we did? I saw damn near 300 yards rushing which mitigates anything Dak could have done.

Dak Prescott was the only reason the Cowboys were in the game at any point at all last night. Defense was atrocious and the Cowboys could not run.

However, I'm not surprised there are still people that want to make this loss about Dak. I guess they just have an agenda.

Geez :) what I love about this place. people so quick to claim they have facts. Glad in the scientific community the standards are much harder.
Dak was one of the 10 highest-rated QBs in football since the Cooper trade.

Dak has THE highest passer rating when tied or trailing by 8 or fewer in NFL history (since the stat was first calculated in 1994).

Those are undisputable facts. I’m sorry that they go against your predetermined opinion.

Yeah I hear that every QB has his misses, but there is also the eye test, and I guess it is objective, but Daks misses are just plain ugly and cringe worthy. It's like what people used to say about McNabb about his misses that when he missed he missed by a yard, except McNabb was more clutch than Dak was and could be a deep threat. The Eagles back then lived and died on the big play.

To each his own opinion, but I think Dak is a better Quarterback than Donovan McNabb. Sure McNabb took more risk and that accounts for his lower overall completion percentage, but Dak just strikes me as a more dangerous QB. McNabb makes more big plays, agreed... but give Dak 4 minutes, I think the fans of every team that plays against him are scared he's gonna lead another game-winning drive. So I think Dak is equally, if not more clutch than McNabb. So in short, I believe while McNabb makes far more impressive big plays than Dak, Dak scares me more if I were the defense. Dak hurts you when you're anticipating and dreading it.. it's like you know it's coming. McNabb lesser so. However, I'm quite a fan of both QBs and McNabb would rank in my top 15 QBs in the last 20 years. Dak is still too young to graze that list.

You don't have a predetermined opinion. let's see I say: next season is a blank slate for dak in my eyes, and I'm willing to give him the seasons to show us something. I would rather pay foles if the chance would come, but doubtful that it would with Jerry being the biggest homer. But how is that predetermined compared to you who probably will go with Dak no mater what. That is unless you have some posts somewhere else I haven't read about you considering something else...

Lmao! You are ridiculous. A defense gave up almost 300 yards on the ground in the playoffs and you brush it off as no big deal and it was a given? So you predicted this defense to play at the level of a middle school defense and get blown off the ball all night? But then you blame the QB who only had a few bad passes and had zero run game to help? With a terrible performance by the OL?

This fanbase is so dumb.
