Maybe Jerry's not planning to renew JG and knows getting a new OC right now isnt a good move

Am I the only one not surprised? Linehan is Jason's boy. They run the same offense. The way things are now allows Jason to still have a big hand in the offense. Giving some young bright OC free rein would take Jason totally out of the loop. And he can't have that because 1) Jason's image is very important to him and 2) he thinks he's a great offensive coach and should be very involved.

IOW, getting a new oc is totally different from getting a new dc as far as Jason is concerned.

Shows how far expectations have fallen for this franchise that a WC home win is considered a successful season and that they don't see the need to make any changes with the OC because of it.

I would think different if our offensive numbers were great but they are mediocre.

This. It's obviously to a point now where the Cowboy sheep are being sold championships while being fed mediocrity at best. After experiencing what championships look like 25+ years ago, pretty soon the older sheep realize this is as good as it gets. I think a generational change or era with this team is now in process. The DC team is just a circus act in a venue to sell entertainment, not bring championships anymore. I loved this team and the game of football but this team does not care for me as a fan of supporting a winner.

no, they wanna win...but not driven to. They wanna be seen as the innovative ones that essentially reinvented the wheel so to speak..another words, Garrett and Jerry think themselves to be "football guys" and aim to prove their genius at ANY COST...even the fans and team itself. Problem is, what is the incentive to win when your already in the lap of luxury?

players are actually better. The .F.O. has done great THERE. Problem is and apparently will remain, the HC and OC. Having a HC AND OC like Garrett and Linehan is like hiring 2 used car salesman to run GM. How do ya think that will turn out? NOT REAL WELL. They are incapable.
