It's a good read.

I came away feeling sorry for Todd.

For his father?

Not so much.

But I know there are thousands of Marv-like fathers out there.

Its an old story. I feel like i;ve been reading about poor Todd about half my life. His dad was unkind and not exactly a nurturer , but he gave Todd an incredible gift that Todd chose to squander. So, Todd had to eat healthy food and play football. Poor guy.

Neither are sympathetic characters.

Untold? ESPN did a 30 for 30 on it a few years ago. Great documentary.

Agree. One thing that stood out from the footage was the guy had near perfect mechanics when he was in high school - a natural talent. By the time he reached the pros he was already on the downward spiral.

One thing that stuck with me was when he said something along the lines of ..."....imagine being really good at something you really hate doing...".

This story, actually isn't new. Marv Marinovich was a tool from way back. The latest is new but it was a terrible situation then and nothing has really changed.

That part is all I needed to read to know you're an idiot.
