Do you realize you are the only one in the entire world who feels that way? That should tell you something.
I’ll tell you what though, the moment Romo appears to turn on the cowboys these fans will turn in him just like they did Aikman.

As far as being the only one not to like him, I doubt it. It’s more of a voice/style thing. Doesn’t resonate with me. And too many people impressed by his ability to predict plays. That’s his style for sure but lots of players and ex players can do that.

We have a fairly vocal poster on this site who strongly says
Romo had a slow release
Romo couldnt read defenses

Think about that

Two statements could not be further from tne truth
Two of his best attributes

Hmmm wonder if Romo watches tape on the match up or is he calling this stuff on the fly? Whew can't wrap my head around a former QB sitting with a birds eye view calling some plays based upon how the D is lined up , can't believe this guy ever lost a game.

People act like this is rocket science. Everyone runs the same plays. Has basically the same terminology. In todays league....the game moves so fast... you know where you are going w/ the fooball before the snap of the football...Or @ last you should. The fact he was calling out where the read was supposed to go...is not shocking. He played for 12 freaking years...and should know where the play was going.

true Romo isn't the only guy on the planet that can do this...he's just the first announcer to do so

gotta say is a total stud calling the game. Fire Garrett today and bring in Romo.

Romo as qb coach or Kelly Moore?

How many horrid, loser former Qb’s can we have as coaches?
Romo for HC.

Jerry, double what CBS is paying him.

This man reads defense and calls the plays from the booth.

There better a story about how Jerry at least tried to get Romo to come as a coach.

He’s got to be the best analyst since John Madden.
He is great& elavates the games viewerships comprehension of the on going gameplay unlike no other, that I ever recall from a broadcast booth
He knows the game very well but he also gets excited like a fan...actually looking forward to CBS having the SB for once
:lmao: He does tend to get extra excitedly exuberant at certain times of the game:lmao:

It's gonna happen, just a question of when. he also guesses wrong a lot but you'll never get people around here to admit it. lol

He was amazing tonight. Called plays before they happened based on personnel packages.

Guy could step away from the mic tomorrow and be the most coveted breathing OC, OR HC candidate ever.

Glad things worked out for him. Everyone thinks he should be a coach but he should stay where he is...this is his calling. While it's true that guys like Peyton, Brady, Brees, etc. could probably do the same thing in the booth, Romo brings a level of excitement and enthusiasm that I don't think those guys could bring. He brings X's and O's talk with the enthusiasm of Dick Vitale/Bill Raftery

The fact that you judge someone on their voice is very telling. Does shallow ring a bell with you?

Exactly, the very reason he started audibling out of Garrett’s plays.

Say what?!? Take a listen to pretty much all tv and radio guys. The voice is a HUGE part of what gets these guys their gig in the first place. If I’m listening to someone OF COURSE it matters.

Next thing you’re going to tell me is I’m shallow because I don’t like a certain singers voice.

No you're shallow for thinking Romo sucks as an analyst. Enough said.
