Saints got the ball first in OT. All HOF QB Drew Brees had to do is march down the field, score a TD, and seal the victory. It’s not like the robbery that happened when Dez caught it and the Cowboys never touched the ball again.

Or the Tuck Rule I believe. I don't remember the Raiders getting the ball back but I could be wrong.

See Saints vs. Vikings, 2009 NFC Championship game (aka The Bounty Bowl) ...they have no right to cry. They’ve had this coming for a decade.

And am I seeing a Patriots fan lecturing us on who we should or should not defend on the subject of CHEATING?

I honestly think the Vikings could have won that year. I also think the Rams should have won in 01 if it wasn't for SPYGATE. I mean it took a gutsy 2nd half onside kick for the Saints to end up winning the game.

several things we've learned from championship weekend.......overtime rules need to be changed where both teams get the ball and instant replay use needs to be expanded. personal fouls/unnecessary roughness penalties and pass interference (when flags are thrown) need to be review-able. NFL needs to expand the bandwidth of the centralized replay review group in order to not affect game speed while removing human error ........ i'm not saying review of non-calls are in order though, as what happened to saints

Not that its going to do anything but good for them, they got shafted big time. Tired of hearing about the Ram's and the coach that{apparently}can walk on water.

They got the ball back with seconds remaining, but instead of advancing the ball, they chose to take the game to OT. Brady drove the Pats down the field and eventually got them in Vinatieri’s range to kick the winning FG. The Raiders didn’t touch the ball in OT.

Last night, in a thread on Twitter discussing a letter one of the Saints players wrote to Roger Goodell (a move I actually support) some Saints’ fan made a comment I could not let go. He said “even if your (sic) not a Saints fan, let’s all boycott the Superbowl (sic) because it (refs taking control of the outcome) will happen to another team eventually.” I looked at that and thought: you’ve got to be kidding me!! Has this person only been a football fan since 2018? Answering my own question: it’s not that. Saints fans live in their own little world. I replied to his tweet that it’s already happened to other teams. Added that at least the Saints had another chance to touch the football again in OT. When “other” teams got robbed, they didn’t always have that chance. My next tweet was the video of the infamous catch heard ‘round the world (Dez Bryant).

One of the people involved in that thread was the weather person on one of our local TV channels...a somewhat local celebrity. She was very nice in her response to me, she said she understood, and she and I exchanged a few tweets after that. I told her I understood the pain Saints’ fans were feeling too...told her y’all are never going to get over it, but lawsuits and injunctions to stop the Super Bowl are not the way to go. That’s just going to annoy Goodell even more. The letter from the team player is a good start. I can also get on board with boycotting the game. As it is, I’m already not happy with the NFL after the 2015 playoffs, the 2017 playoff game, and the 2017 season Zeke suspension.

That OT rule is not even fair. Raiders should have gotten the ball since Brady didn't score a touchdown but it wasn't change until years later I believe. This is the reason why I don't believe there is a GOAT in football because of the coin toss in OT and how Brady wins most of it.

I been listening to Saints radio and how bad is the education system in NOLA? One of the worst in America? They talk so damn slow and its really hard to understand, and its not even a country accent either. It sound really ghetto. When I listen to Cowboys radio, everyone seem to speak at a normal pace and articulate well enough to understand. Its amazing how different parts in America talk and act differently.

You probably roll your eyes every time you go outside I bet. I hear Who Dat and I want to smack somebody, I can't imagine hearing other similar phrase similar to who dat, it just so low class and I can't believe NOLA are proud of such awful language. God bless you for having to deal with all of this ****. Then again I live in a city where most speak hispanic so....can't tell what worst. Also live near factories. I HATE THIS PLACE!

:22 or :32 seconds left ... one or the other, leaning to :22 seconds though ... enough time to take a couple of shots down the (snow covered) field ... they were starting on the 35 yard line ... Gannon had a cannon for an arm + they had 2 time outs left ... Tim Brown and Jerry Rice on the field that night... and Janikowski already nailed a 45 yard fg that night... raiders gave up

That rule wasn’t in place yet. First team to score won the game back then...FG or TD, even if only one team got the ball.

I can’t even listen to Saints radio, so that should tell you something. Louisiana is ranked usually #49 or #50 in education these days...the way people talk here has always annoyed me. Since we’re writing and you can’t hear me, I can’t really give you examples. I wish I could. I’ll try writing out the way they say things. It’s not just “dat” for “that” (and dis, dese, and dose, too ) ...there’s “my-nazz” (mayonnaise) ...”wrench my hands in the zink” (rinse my hands in the sink) ...”churren” (children) ...”berl” (boil)...”goil” (girl)...and they can’t pronounce the “er” on words that end that way, instead it comes out as either an “uh” sound. Words with “or” in the middle such as “storm” change to “stawm” ...emphasis on the “aw”. It’s maddening! I have no idea how I escaped this because I’ve lived here all my life and was raised by parents who lived here all their lives. I used to drive my dad crazy correcting him on some of those words, but he was driving me crazy!
