" what Cowboys must do to take the next step."

shore up the OL, draft a monster D1, and add an true X - the kind that can win battles in the air and in the red zone

We don't have a player problem. Garrett has had every combination imaginable except a absolutely perfect roster which no team has.

It's obviously about Garrett. We've heard Witten's thoughts on Garrett's offense during the MNF game earlier this year.

Witten and Romo are best buds - you think they don't share the same viewpoint on this? They lived first-hand through the Garrett regime. They know the deal.

He should've, Garrett never had a problem throwing Romo under the bus to save his butt.

Give examples. This is a false narrative that people repeat like parrots without any knowledge of facts. And the funny thing is, while some posters say what you did, other posters criticize Garrett for not publically calling out players who screw up, saying he is too forgiving and easy going and trying to be the players friend.

Sure when asked about a game he might say a bad throw or a fumble hurt the team's chances, but that's the stuff that gets talked about at post game press conferences with all coaches, not just Garrett. Fans tend to just take a coach talking about a game as throwing a person under a bus.

Now, lest you start calling me a "Garrett lover" or a "Garrett apologist" or any of the other silly terms that some posters tend to throw around (hopefully you aren't one with that MO), you should know I do not support keeping Garrett, and I didn't support keeping him after the 2017 season either. It's just that I prefer to base my belief that he should be replaced on the inconsistent results that always fall short of what he was hired to accomplish. There is no need to make up any of the nonsense some folks come up with because that is enough reason in itself.

Well, if you go by the recent trend we're looking at a rough season. It's an odd year. 2013, 2015, 2017 were the same. 2014, 2016, 2018 were different.

Plus you got the division winner not repeating since 2004 thing.

Buckle up.
