All who watch this Super Bowl will destroy what football should be

So the NFL predetermined the outcome of games, passes the info down through a chain of command, then tells the refs to make it happen. According to many it’s been going on for years. Yet not one time EVER has some whistle blower decided to buck the system and expose what was happening. Not once. Ever.

They get wire tapped and then "disappear" right before they're about to spill the beans.

First, run of the mill pass interference is a judgement call, to a point. However, EVERY referee who has ever called pass interference, has called it for infractions far less obvious than this one.

The hit by Robey Coleman was easily 10 times more atrocious than a typical pass interference call.

It's so egregious, Goodell was obligated to redo the game from the 1:49 mark. But he ignored his obligation, and has therefore, branded the entire NFL as an illegitimate sporting organization.
He was obligated to do nothing. Imagine the floodgates that would've opened if he did? Every week every teams fanbase would be sending in video of missed penalties that effected the outcome of the game. Every year for the remainder of the NFL'S existence. Not to mention the neverending questions of why previous games didn't get replayed from a certain point with more neverending video clips.

I know the title is provocative, but I'm not leading with that to annoy others, just for the fun of it.

I'm serious when I say that Goodell needs to hear the message loud and clear, the debacle that the NFL has become will not be tolerated. Officials who watch NFL receivers get blasted, helmet to helmet, before the ball arrives, and then do nothing about it, have revealed a great deal.

They've revealed they are acting maliciously toward a team in the playoffs.
They have been given instructions to prohibit one team from winning.
Incompetence will no longer cloak these truths.

Knowing that, (there is no dispute or controversy) will you actually promote the destruction of the NFL by watching?

I know that Super Bowl parties are a tradition, and they are a great opportunity for socializing, but the time to act is now. Football will be unwatchable if the public ignores the game fixing that went on. I've been invited to a Super Bowl party already, but I've turned it down. I know its not an easy thing to do.

Will you seriously consider making other plans? Fishing, a get together with friends, doing anything else?

The NFL must get this message. WHAT FOOTBALL HAS BECOME IS UNACCEPTABLE!!

Excessive drama won't obscure the fact that you've made several claims for which you have no evidence. :muttley:

Enjoy your other plans.

The referee who resides near the LA area, with total attention focused on the receiver getting blasted, did not throw the flag. It is not controversial, because "controversial" that implies it is mildly reasonable NOT to throw a flag. It was clearly a penalty, without excuse, completely undisputed by any football fan, that the flag should have been thrown. 99% chance the Saints win if that penalty is called, when the Rams have no timeouts.

The eyeball test, for those paying attention, clearly shows the game outcome was changed. End of discussion. If you endorse fixed games, then make your choice about what to watch, it's a free country.

My god, you are seriously out of control. Don't watch football anymore. Your problems are solved. No one has to be pawns to your world view. End of story. This board can move on to discussing the future, not the past which we can't control.

I do not want to argue with you because I can't agree more with your statement about the call. It was a blatant miss by the official and there was almost no way the Saints lose if PI or helmet to helmet is called.

However, I disagree that the game was fixed. That non-call on Robey Coleman would have been an afterthought if Drew Brees led a TD drive in overtime; or if the Saints held on for a 23-20 win in regulation.

The officials may have had an LA-area bias, and the NFL may have even allowed them to call the game knowing this. But even though I myself posted on here that night the game was rigged, I have since backed off on my stance.
Although something that stinks to high heaven is definitely going on, no, the games are not rigged.

No one needs to come forward to expose it. Every football fan that saw the play (AND THE GAME FIXING NON-CALL), knows what's happening.

This thread is almost as funny as the one where somebody threw a major temper tantrum when the team was going to sign Terrell Owens. I mean, full blown I'm never watching the $(&#%@$ Cowboys again if they sign this bum, tantrum. There was also something about marriages being ruined.

Then... The same guy was here posting when the season started. Talking about the games. The games that newly minted Dallas Cowboy Terrell Owens was playing in.

Remember that guy?

You know those refs were on the grassy knoll in Dallas don’t you?

Yeah but Goodell said he was sorry about that missed call so it’s all good now. To me the rule changes, aka wussification of the game, coupled with inconsistent calls, and the ultra PC gestures and policies set forth by the NFL have contributed to damaged product. When even South Park repeatedly spoofs you it should be obvious they are a joke
