Because he's too emotionally invested in the team for a fair analysis.

It's like asking Michael Irvin what he thinks.

most here are way "emotionally invested" as well

but to even suggest Rodger can't handle his ... is well, just downright un-cowboy of you

My problems with Dak.

1: We’ve won nothing when he’s been on a rookie deal.

2: Others make Dak better so giving him a big contract will make us a worse team.

3: He and Garrett together will just bring mediocrity to our offense. We have to have an all time Oline and run game to make everything click with these 2.

The easy switch is a different coach but we’re hanging onto Garrett another season.

nothing easy about changing OCs

Dak's issue are almost all foot work ... that can be fixed

and I ain't so sure Dak doesn't make the players around him better

Egg all over the faces of Dak’s haters. As usual.

Not in this thread there's not. No, this is a very typical example of a complementary thread towards Dak by the OP, that turned into a bash Romo thread by the "usual's", that in turn turned into snide remarks about Dak by the "usual's". But hey at least you contributed a  and a "hater" jab to the cause. Thanks man.

Dak has accuracy issues...that's all that registered the rest is fantasy at the moment. Most ppl like to use other QBs to justify Dak.. no, view Dak by what he is, don't bring Tom Brady or any other QB into the equation.

Wrong Again

“Tony’s right there among the best in the NFL,” Staubach told the Star-Telegram. “If he’s healthy, he’ll be back playing. I think everybody realizes that. But I think Dak [Prescott] is going to keep them very competitive in the division until Tony gets back.”

Roger Staubach in 2016
Was he wrong? No.

Seriously man, why the hate, seriously. all you do is hate on Dak is it another issue because 2 division titles in his 1st 3 years is more than any Dallas QB ever

I agree with the Dak hate comment, but if you mean first three years as a starter Craig Morton won the division in his first two. If you just mean as a QB Craig Morton was in part time as a division winner in 2 of his first 3 seasons and 6 of his first 7. Though honestly it had as much to do with the team's defense and running game as it did with Craig.

A lot of heads exploding right now. Half the fans want to agree with Roger that Dak is a great QB, but don't want to agree that Dak has accuracy issues because they've been arguing all along that that's a myth. The other half are just the opposite.

Roger has managed to get both sides to agree with him on an issue that has polar opposite opinions. He's brilliant .. shame he never ran for national office.

you forgot the ?

Dak has no real HOF potential. Romo did..fixed it.. :yourock:

Dak will never own the passing records Romo had, doubt he will ever RUN an offense the way room finished, Romo is king of the mountain in stats for an UDFA in this franchises history of QBs look at the number blind to the names, many room haters would not be able to pick out Romos stats because they would swear they were Aikman's or Starbucks..

I like Dak but as a QB pure passer , calling audibles and spotting defense weakness before the snap, Romo wins..nither will go into the HOF but Romos number make him more qualified..
You're also talking about what Romo became. Romo wasn't the QB he eventually became. Dak just finished his 3rd year, care to explain Romo stats his first 3 years? Of course a QB who has played his entire career looks better than a 3rd year player. Give Dak time and at the end of his career we can come back and discuss this subject and see where it stands then.

I don't think Dak is a great QB......yet. That being said I wouldn't say he has accuracy issues either. Does he miss throws? Sure but not more than any other QB and in fact I would say Dak has better accuracy than some. There is a reason why Dak holds the record for best completion percentage in a QBs first 3 years and it's not all short passes either.

Roger is the 2nd best QBs in cowboys history after aikman.

He’s never said anything like this about romo. It speaks volumes to the testmenat of how much elite potential Dak has. Their is a reason he compared him to Tom Brady.

Are you crazy? Staubach always said that Romo was a top level, elite qb.

he was born amore natural passer then Dak, stop the madness..sure he got better late in his career..but Romo was always guy trying to light up the skys more then dink and dunking it..Normal passing QB look deep int and then short as a natural system.. Dak has to learn it.. yes higher risk but that our complaint with this offense a lot of dump downs when we saw guy open deep and Dak never looked up..he did get better at times but no way Dak puts up passing numbers like Romo..
