2007 was Romo’s Year

Some fans thought he held onto the ball too long and took some unnecessary sacks.. Coincidently the Giants sacked Brady into a W...

Was Romo never great in your mind? He was limited by Garrett, he had the same struggles early that Dak has now in this offense....
Agreed, but he should never have gone to Cabo during the playoffs. Nobody does that for a good reason. Even the Cowboys Greats denounced that decision to go. Coach Cupcake is to blame, along with Jerry, because they ok'd it. Huge mistake.

How is it any different then the same people that can’t stop living in the past and are constantly starting Romo threads when he has absolutely nothing to do with this team anymore?

It goes both ways.

The thing is we are fans of the team and it’s history, so if u want to cling to negativity on a National Holiday, you are a buzz kill...

Negativity and reality are two different things. Personally, I view the constant Romo threads as not only nauseating but negative. Here you are bringing up one of the best years for the Cowboys in the past 20 years and they didn’t even win a playoff game that year. That, my fellow Lewboaki fan, is depressing.

Better off talking about the Seattle game we won just a few week ago and the outlook for next year. Honestly, a lot of people can’t let go of Romo because they hate Dak which, again, is a negative in itself.

Edit: Not to mention, we got beat in our own house by a divisional rival (who went on to win the SB that year) that we beat twice in the regular season. Why do you have to bring these negative feelings man? Ugh.

2014 was great, we had the catch, but we didn’t have a defense. We had a good run game and Dez played out of his mind but we were incomplete.

2007 we had a good defense, we had it all. Romo played good enough to win that game. We had the Fasano TD drop, TO dropped a key 3rd down pass, Crayton hesitates on his route. Secondary was a bit suspect at times. Coaches had no adjustments.

2007 was his best year and best chance to win it all. We went 13-3, had the bye. I wanted another shot at those Cheateriots.....

Just one of those games that show so much goes into winning. We had too many breakdowns and still had a shot at it at the end when one more breakdown led to a desperation fourth-down throw.

Watching some of the highlights from the games leading up to the Super Bowl, you see the same thing. There's not much that separates the contenders, a bad call here, a dropped pass there, a lucky catch, a fumble, etc. We made too many mistakes to overcome as a contender in that game against the Giants.

Old Wade had camp cup cake fired up. Nice relaxing environment for everyone. Tony and the boys in Mexico. No edge to them. Perfect recipe for a well coached team to come into your building and win. That’s exactly what happened. Idiots. All of them. Witten must have thought the playoffs was an annual event. Wrong.
You nailed it. This is exactly why we lost. This is also why we typically lose in the playoffs at the division round. Better coached teams outsmart our coaching staff. The players are in shock typically by the end of the first quarter when they realize they getting it put to them. Sad man. Thanks Jerry

2013-2015 was his best chance if they had put more resources into the defense because by those years, he was a complete QB and had full understanding of the position. 2012 Draft hurt so much...they went all in on Claiborne. He had to have been the second coming of Deion to be worth a Top-10 pick AND a 2nd rounder
The Claiborne decision was a last minute decision too.. they didn't know jack squat about him.

2014 team was his best chance

His obstacles to getting a ring that season were:

-A one-legged Rodgers

-A Seattle team he already beat

-An overrated New England team

On top of that Romo was 10x the QB he was in 07

A goofy ref took it all away from him too

Can we talk about Romo’s white sneakers with a suit while interviewing Brady? I still wear clothes that are over ten years old so I’m no fashion expert but they look ridiculous.

Side note, I just bet a very small chunk of change that Romo will say “here we go” over 2.5 times during the game. I haven’t cheered this hard for Romo since he was still our starting QB. Let’s go buddy, you got this!

Think about all the project players we had throughout Romo's career waiting for them to develop. Now think about who we've had since Dak has been here. One practically came from the projects and the other is a trust fund baby, figuratively speaking.

Witten and Romo were too busy drinking in Cabo. They didn’t care like they should’ve. Let it go, a new era is here.

Never assume some people kid about Cabo. The trip had zero bearing on the game. The only thing of 'importance' is that Romo took the trip.

The trip itself had no bearing on the game . The time used on the trip could have been used staying in sync with your receivers and looking at tape to find ways to get an edge on your opponent then adding more practice on what you found .

When you have that much time there is no excuse to not make the best use of it to study and practice . Winners with the proper work ethic vacation after the work is done

If the facilties were closed and they didnt even know the opponent, this could've been tough.
Though Garrett did say one player did talk the staff into breaking the rules and letting him come in one day to study filmon two opponents before leaving town for a couple lf days...that one player was Romo.

Then, lf course they came back and had a full week of normal prep
