What im wondering is how the mods are letting all these personal attacks go? We really need clean this forum up. Since these new posters have come into this forum its been like this. IN every thread they come in and offer nothing but insults and personal attacks on anybody who disagrees with their view. We now see why they got their forum shut down. I hope the mods can clean it up because they are destroying a great forum for Cowboys football. Since i found this forum i dont go to other places for Cowboys news because i find it here with alot of different views on the team and where they go. Some i agree with and some i dont. But what i find infuriating is these posters come in and it just seems like only come to insult.

Hope you guys can clean this mess up because its gotten really bad to the point you go into any thread and 80% of the thread is nothing but garbage.

In Goff's last 8 games including the playoffs:

6 TDs
8 INTs
7 fumbles
228 YPG
54% completions
72 QB rating
No, he didn’t. Their running game and a officiating travesty got them to the SB.

Dak Prescott has never had an 8 and stretch as bad as Goff’s last 8.

Games 7-15 from 2017:

Dak:

7 TD
9 INT
191 YPG

Never say never.

I think Wentz is slightly better than Dak but Dak is still improving.
Even throughout the year I knew Goff is more of a product of his system than any other QB.

Jared Goff doesn't have any leadership qualities at all.

Yeah, his awesome handoffs were a key part of the Rams steamrolling the Hot Boyz for 273 rushing yards.
I used the same line of reasoning that Dak lovers use.....wins....because nothing else matters, even if you throw for 180 yards and Zeke runs for 150. Gawd knows we have all heard he won 13 games as a rookie and no one ever has.

What?
So you're saying that games played matters when looking at raw stats, but attempts per game in those games that they have played dont matter? Are you serious?

They would be different, and if Dak passed as often as the other two per game it would look different too. And his rushing TDs aren't inflating anything lol, they're just a part of his TD total.

Yeah, what aren’t you computing?

You’re looking at raw totals (pass TDs, yards, total TDs, etc.) but not accounting for the fact the other two QBs have played 8-10 less games than Dak as if that doesn’t effect their sum totals.

How are you not understanding? It's very simple and been said three times now.

Yes I'm looking at raw #'s, and how do you get those #'s? By throwing passes. This shouldn't be so hard for you.

So whether the player isnt getting those attempts by missing games or having a slow paced run first offense it doesnt matter, they still aren't getting those pass attempts in.

What I said was that the missed games by Goff and Wentz hurt their raw #'s but it's not as big of a deal when they have thrown on average way more passes per game making the difference in games played more negligable. Claiming I'm saying missed games dont effect the total sums is a flat out lie.

Hope I was able to help you.

They both also have more attempts per game than Dak making the numbers close, so the difference in games doesnt mean as much. Also 13 and 16 more TDs is quite a bit more.

I was surprised to see Wentz easily the lowest in yards per attempt, and Goff easily the highest in that category.

I'm still speechless seeing Goff has four rushing TD's. What, did he trip and the defense wasn't there to catch him?

Let me help you since you think spitting out a theory is tantamount to proving it.

Dak 30.7 att/game
Goff 32.7 att/game
Wentz 36.2 att/game

Explain how those differences, particularly with Goff and Dak, somehow make the differences in games played negligible?

For example, there’s just a 2 pass att./game difference between Goff and Dak. Goff has played 10 less games than Dak. That equates to just 20 extra passes for Goff should he have played in those 10 games. We aren’t talking about Goff averaging 45-48 attempts a game.

Which is why I don't get, why some turn a QB who can make plays with his feet into a negative thing. Some say that defenses can figure mobile QBs out and be able to stop them, which is sometimes true. But, traditional pocket passing QBs can be game planned for as much as mobile QBs can. But, everyone likes to focus on how defenses are able to gameplan for QBs like Dak and insist that the traditional pure pocket passing QB, is the only type of QB in the NFL, who can have a long term career or long term success.

I'm sure that Rams fans would have taken Goff running for big yards or running the ball in for a TD and wouldn't be complaining about Goff running, due to the mentality that a QB shouldn't run and should stay in the pocket or only pass, no matter what. I'll take whatever positive plays a QB can make, whether he makes them with his arms or legs.

And once a defense is able to shut down a statue QB's passing lanes and pressure him, then that defense knows they pretty much have the answer to limiting that QB all game. With a mobile QB, a defense will have to shut down the passing game and still contain the QB, when passing plays don't work out or break down.

Roger Staubach , Steve Young , Fran Tarkenton all mobile successful QBs that could make plays with both arms and there legs . Dak dose not run when its not necessary but when he has to he can make plays with his legs and punish the players trying to tackle him .

Goff looks to frail to take the hits and dosent seem to have the stomach for it . He needed to make something happen yesterday and it just was not in his skill set . This was an old school low scoring slugfest and Dak would have shined in this game .

Who did you blame for the 10 regular season and playoff win?

Or do you only credit coaches when we lose?
well, like they say, the sun shines on a dogs butt every now and again Die....what I witnessed in ALOT of those wins, was our QB and team mates putting it all on the line and winning in spite of the miserable game planning...but that's just me. And to add, I don't think Dak draws up the game plan/scheme to be run week in and out, that's the coaches jobs. Wins and losses go to both sides in my mind, but in the case of the cowboys it's the coaches that are lacking in regards to winning regularly. Albiet, the players have some accountability in executing and proper technique, take the Rams PO loss, that lays squarely on the coaching staff for being as predictable as they had been all season long. Add to that the players looking like they had no clue where to be and whom to cover or tackle, or simply NOT staying in position due to the moronic play calling taking them out of their lanes, which was then exploited by Mcvey.

So, if we win the players get credit. But you blame coaching when we lose?

Yup.

I guarantee you if you replace Goff with Dak in yesterday’s game, all we’d be hearing today would be the excuses for him blaming it on the coaching staff, play-calling, et cetera.

It's simple math, well simple for us.

Let's take the 6 attempts difference between Wentz and Dak

It would only take five games, for Wentz throw an entire games worth more of passes. The math is 6x5=30(amount of passes Dak attempts a game).

So for every five games each player is healthy Wentz has an entire games worth more of passes. Making the difference in missed games more negligable when comparing raw stats. There you go. It's simple for the rest of us but hopefully this clears it up for you.

Got to agree you come to what is supposed to be a Cowboys forum where Cowboy fans talk football and you have a handful of trolls that do nothing but bash our QB like he threw a bunch of game ending INTs and led us to a 4-12 season while costing us 1st rd draft picks and 28 million .

We made some good progress this year our young QB all but ran the table in the 2nd half of the season to get us to the playoffs and won a game . We have something to build on and reason to be hopeful . Mods get rid of these trolls that do nothing positive on this forum and insult our QB

Not true. People would be going at him. Example when we played the Rams ourselves. Dak didn't play great, but he didn't play that bad either, yet a lot of people pointed out his flaws and the offense when it was really the defense that failed us, allowing CJ Anderson to run over 200 yards on us. Coaching would be getting torn apart, but Dak would be getting torn apart right now too, trust me.

Lol seriously? Hes paid to win games period. Throw it, run it, catch it, whatever the hell it takes, just win. You cant selectively dismiss parts of his game to fit an agenda.
Yea whatever you say, he should be throwing the rock not running it we have a RB for that
