I don't know that it was because of the low score. I mean, how many people just didn't turn on the game, at all? That has no bearing on people tuning out because of score. If you never tune in, you don't know what the score was or what kind of game it turned into because you never had any interest in watching it at all.

This might be more of a statement on what fans think of the state of the NFL today. I think the officiating and the rules changes might be affecting viewership more then some may think.

There may well be some truth to this, but I also think a lot has to do with what others in this thread have mentioned, which is that watching the Pats in the Super Bowl has become stale and ordinary and expected.

Yes, more people watch exciting football games. And, yes, fewer people watch boring ones. That rule was proven yet again on Sunday night, when the Rams -- 11 weeks after a Week 11 54-point exp...

It's bizarre that the NFL owners wouldn't prefer the Cowboys in the Super Bowl over New England; however, the Cowboys have been penalized for trivial issues like Zeke being accused with zero proof, yet New England's penalties for overt cheating have not exactly been the SMU death penalty.

LOL. Is that why ratings were up all year long? They've been back. Drama queening human nature demands it.
they are still down double digits from 2015... they only had small gains on certain games

they had less ad revenue this year..... first time ever

That wasn't my point. You mentioned those who said they'd never be back. They've been back and then some. Nice spin though. Cogs always think they have more power than they actually do.

So the people you you were referring to who "can't be mentioned" were from 2015 and not 2017? Suuuuuure, lol. Tell me another one. Fact is your 2017 drama queens are back and then some. Spin and pivot to 2015 all you want but those were who you were referring to with false accreditation.

Maybe this will wake the NFL up as to whatever crapp they've been up to. First the NE/JAX fiasco last year to PUT NE in, and then the most horrific non call in NFL history.

The bottom line is you can only get by w/ so much crapp before people start turning away. Apologize and straighten up your crooked bum crapp, NFL owners.
Did Jacksonville boycott? Did their attorneys file lawsuits against the NFL..or injunctions to stop the Super Bowl? Did they buy billboards in Minnesota to troll the Patriots or take to the street by the thousands on Super Bowl Sunday? Or did they take the loss with dignity? (Never mind... I already know the answer.)

Oh, I absolutely believe that a lot of fans are tired of New England but (and as a fan base we do have some experience with this) my experience is that in those kinds of situations, fans tune in as much to watch you lose. Think about how many times fans have tuned in to Cowboys games just to watch us lose. Still happens all the time with us. I would think that the same would be true for New England but there really is no way to tell for sure. I'm just making assumptions on what we've seen with us.
