A raw rookie who looked lost
Can he develope into a starter quality player? Maybe, but to be honest it’s rare when it happens
You hope he can develope into a good backup
Your wildest dream is he developed into a starter quality guy who can take over some day or be a trade bait guy
Look around the league at how many late round QB’s actually develope into starter quality players and I think it will show long odds
He has the arm but that’s a small part of what it takes

I like White and he stated that he was the best QB in the draft

So let's get the ball rolling already. What's the plan with Mike White? Big arm. He's been stowed away somewhere all season. 6'4" 225lbs. Throws a rocket. He's gotta be about 6'6" 240lbs by now. Is he going to make Cooper Rush a forgotten man this year? I hear Moore and White are like Tony and Jason. Best buds. Interesting.

I say wait a little longer until he's 6'8 260lbs.

We are assuming he is getting taller ... ?

The plan is to see how he develops - plain and simple, then make decisions based on how that goes. That’s what teams do with QBs drafted in later rounds. That’s what happened with Brady, and what would have happened with Dak had injuries not forced him into action sooner than anticipated.

It will be interesting to see the progress of all 3 QB's Wirth Jon Kitna now on board.
I felt Dak and Rush regressed last year under Moore. And can't say one way or another about White.

Of course they all can get better just under the natural progression of how players should improve each year at their young careers.

But I expect Kitna to really help all 3. Moore was thrown in there last year, no coaching experience. So hopefully he is a much better OC than a QB coach.

Dak changed too much in regards to mechanics over the off-season. He backed off on the changes as the season progressed and it helped his consistency.

Romo made significant mechanical changes over the years but just made small changes each year. Romo's golf background may have helped him know to make changes gradually because that's how most really good golfers do it.

I think Dak will go back to what he was working on last off-season.

I saw nothing of White outside of his arm. Slow reaction time etc. Having said that his Oline sucked all PS as well.

Maybe that’s just from bein an unsure rookie adjusting to the NFL, or maybe that’s just his reality. No judgements can be made at this point

What's it going to be then, eh?

In my opinion, the only chance White will ever have a chance of unseating Prescott in Jones' eyes is if the opportunity presents itself for him to step into a regular season game and have a monster game relative to a Montana or Marino milestone. I do agree though that we will all see eventually.
He is definitely a developmental prospect and that basically means he is Moore's guy. That will not translate to anything else unless Prescott completely tanks or gets injured.
