That’s easy to say now, but were there any indications of this kind of behavior then?

The guy was never going to be a star, but he was looking at a nice career as a strong backup/change of pace guy if he had his head straight. Obviously his head is pretty damn crooked
Not at all. Dude was set to be a bona fide bell cow. A guy you could run up the middle and consistently get big yardage and great finishing, too. If Romo didn't get hurt and Randle kept his head about, we go 12-4 or better again in 2015, compete for a SB in one of the few years the Patriots didn't make it to the SB..... and Zeke gets drafted by Jacksonville. Cowboys draft a guy like Jarran Reed or even Jaylon Smith with that very late first round pick.

What a moron Randle was to throw it all away.

We know this because in his 2 year career before 2015 he had 507 career yards on 105 carries? I think he proved to be a very solid backup, but he was miles away from proving to be the kind of stud RB you are talking about. Without him having to carry a full load and take the constant pounding that goes with that, or deal with opponents game planning for him specifically, we don't know what he would/could have been. I suppose it's fair to say I can't know for certain he couldn't have at least been a starter, and frankly I was hoping it would pan out in 2015 that he would prove he could be, but I think it's a considerable stretch to give him the credit you have.

This is for the same arrest for rape back in September. The previous charges were just for assaulting a police officer and trying to run over people with his car.
You mean you can’t do any of that? I thought that’s why cars had bumpers, you know, to bump people off of them?

A common misconception, but that's only in case of emergency - or if you're in a hurry. The primary reason they're there is for parallel parking. They make that sound that lets you know to back up a smidge.

A guy that seriously had a chance to be the guy or a career backup and make good money. In 3 short years he made over 1.3 million. And couldn’t handle the pressure.

We should keep out of the fanzone. It's just gonna get all the perfect people with perfect families to spew hate. No need for hating anyone other than Garrett on the fanzone. Shame on you!!!

Selecting a 6'0" 200lbs RB that runs a 4.63 40... I shouldn't have to explain any further.

It was the 5th round - there are no sure things left at that point, plus in 2014 he clearly showed he was at least able to be an effective backup and change of pace back.

What we know prior to the draft was that he was a highly productive D-I RB in a major conference, gaining 2633 yards, rushing, 490 yards receiving, and scoring a whopping 40 TD's his last 2 seasons in college, at his Pro Day he was timed at 4.52, and projections leading up to the draft showed him going as high as the 3rd round and none had him lower than 5th round.

This is what NFL.com said after he was drafted...

Bottom Line Part of Oklahoma State's Pony Express Award-winning trio on offense in 2011 (1,216 rushing yards, 24 touchdowns), Randle brings power and a bit of wiggle to the field. In 2012 he added an explosive, more powerful element to his game, something that had been missed in previous seasons. He could challenge for the top running back spot.

His brother John had SEVERAL run-ins with the law back before Joseph. He was eventually kicked off the KU team for his off the field behavior. There's an article (https://newsok.com/article/3717671/...andle-brothers-mirror-each-other-in-many-ways) that talks about Joseph being the spoiled one and his brother John hoping that Joseph learned from his mistakes. One of his brother's run-ins was for slapping a woman who tried to intervene in a fight.

I have no idea what makes the guy tick. But, fair or not, there were red flags there before 2014. If he raped this girl, he should be done. End of his story.

Just trying to add a little Christianity to things. He’s bad news but we need to keep things in check. He’ll be dealt with later.

Hopefully he gets shanked in jail so he doesn’t hurt anyone else.
