While I wasn't a big fan of the Cooper trade at first it's obvious it was worth it and is a testament to Will cause he obviously ok'd it. It's clear that this man is the mastermind behind the masterblinds, see what I did there.

He is definitely not the final decision maker, but I think his voice carries a lot of weight, especially when we are drafting.

Actually we have a Director of College Scouting named Lionel Vital who came on board in 2016. I assume he and Chris Hall (assistant director) direct the scouting department and keep WM up to date and perhaps even have input on building the draft board. Also we have a Director of Pro Scouting, Alex Loomis who I imagine keeps McClay up to speed on available pro-prospects. To think that McClay does all of that by himself, no.

I think McClay has done a great job of organizing and having good people under him. Obviously good people skills. Pretty good success in the draft and bringing in players from other teams like Cooper, Irving, Woods etc. To give McClay all the credit is a bit tunnel visioned though. He has done a nice job.

and yes, Jerry makes the final decisions. Gotta live with that one until JJ does a swan dive into a empty cement pond or gets all jacked on JWB and dives head first off his new boat

For sure. He was the one who told them to draft LVE. He fell to us and well they took him.

Didn’t the franchise actually pursue both trades but were not agreed by the dancing partners at that time?
