With your persistence you come across as someone who has to have the last word or has to always be right. Thats probably why Direwolf said what he said. Its a waste of time trying to argue with someone who is gonna keep fighting to get the last word, no matter how long it takes.

Another one....lol

You asked because you thought he was getting fired. You were basically trying to claim victory...lol

I found the post. Right around the time they fired Alexander and Jerry made some quotes in the papers that had some people raising their eyebrows about Garrett.

Here the pertinent quote:

I feel you are getting a bit nervous. It seems that the Jones boys actions are now indicating that Garrett, your boy, is now on the clock and might not be getting the benefit of the doubt anymore from them.

I am sure the board can act as a grief counselor for you if Garrett gets fired.

Nowhere in that statement would one get the impression that I think Garrett was definitely getting fired. I even use the word “if” in the last sentence, not “when”.

I also found handfuls of posts around that time where I argue that I am not confident a non-playoff season would get him fired.

I found the post. It was from October 30th.

Here the important quote:

I wouldn't have wasted my time looking for the post. The guy is obviously disturbed. He probably sleeps in his Jason Garrett pajamas and Jason Garrett underwear. Might even suck his thumb while snuggling with his Jason Garrett blankie..

There was no reason for you to think I was nervous unless you thought he was getting fired.

There was no reason for you to think i was nervous unless you felt he was getting fired, Jerry did say anything different from any of his gibberish rants.

Yep.,his description of 2015 is another great example of how most fans here totally discredit themselves.

Since we only won 1 game after Romo went down in 2015 it was a horrible coaching job . And when we win 13 the next year without Romo out again Garrett gets no credit. Red Flags of agendas.

I think the real issue that some have with Garrett is how woefully unprepared the team looks when it does make it to the playoffs or make it to the divisional round. To get beat is one thing. To look lost, clueless, and flat out lethargic or unready to play is on coaching....and it's something we've seen of Garrett-coached teams since day one. The mental mistakes in the playoffs with this team is mind-blowing. That's on coaching.

So he can be the winningest coach in regular season history, but if he can't get a team ready to play in the playoffs, then it's time for a change. It's that simple. The way you get beat in this case is more important than being beat.

Man its so sad that you guys celebrate regular season victories like the Pats celebrate SBs.:(
It's always championship or bust. However, that particular season when Romo went down and it was initially expected that he was only going to miss 8 games EVERYONE would have been happy if we had went 500 with a rookie 4th round QB. JG exceeded expectations. This is either true or its not.

Let me guess. More Super Bowl or Bust fans.

I know. They see a championship team that Garrett is holding back? Right lol

How exactly are we measuring this subjective descriptive opinion “ woefully unprepared “ and “ clueless, and flat out lethargic ”?

Was that in the Seattle or LA game you saw that?

Jerry Jones is comfortable letting Jason Garrett enter the final year of his contract, and he said Garrett is comfortable not having long-term security. Of course, the Cowboys owner also has said f...

The LA game, obviously. I'm not just talking about this year however. You choose to read it as such. The goal of any team isn't just regular season success. Am I impressed that they went from what looks like a waste of a season to actually winning the division and making it to the divisional round? Yes, but at some point, you have to look at the body of work of a coach and look for trends.

With a different set of players, this same event keeps happening. Why do Garrett coached teams keep doing the same things offensively and fail to make adjustments both offensively and defensively? Why did they continue to stick with a playbook that fails in the end each and every time? Why did Jerry publicly choose to prove he doesn't trust Garrett offensively and neuter him by saying that Moore should come directly to him should Garrett object?

While I dislike Jerry's ways of handling things, that shows us something. Jerry thinks that Garrett has been holding the team back in certain ways....but he is loathe to admit that he made a mistake in sticking with Garrett and is trying to save face.

You can choose to blame this on Linehan. He does indeed share a large portion of the blame of the offensive woes. Who was his boss, however? Garrett. Garrett can't even manage his own coaches?

Like you I realize that the underlying issues of the team are Jerry and how he runs things and that Garrett might mitigate a little of that, but that doesn't mean I'm okay with them continuing to stick with what is proven not to get them past a divisional round even once, no matter the roster.

Hopefully Moore as OC will change things enough to make a difference.

That is one season bro...……….Garrett has been here a decade...………..2 wildcard wins

This is either true or it isn't...…………..unfortunately, its true.

:LOL at the claim that disgruntled fans are "Super Bowl or bust." More like "Better than two wild card wins in eight years or bust."

Too bad for the JG fans that Garrett is a bust on that one.

We were talking about that one season....bro. After that season we went 9-7 when Zeke missed 6 games.....bro. The next season we started 3-5 with out replacing Dez or Witten and ended up winning the division and a playoff game....bro. That happens to be the last 3 seasons....bro
