Witten, ware and ET might just push the team a little closer plus it would let them draft eaiser.

I agree almost completely. But Romo is good at getting rid of the ball when need be. His injuries are self inflicted. He tries to do too much stupid crap in the pocket. I believe his last two injuries were a direct result of his actions, not freak injuries.
I would say if Dak suffered a season ending injury, in pre season, there might be a very tiny chance Romo could get lured in. But even then, in that far fetched scenario, we’re talking 1 in 10 he'd even do it then.

Ware on the other hand....

Time waits for no man. There's a reason why both retired in the first place.

Yeah.. They already had more money then they knew what to do with and figured it aint worth the punishment anymore unless they were getting paid a lot for it.

Loving the game brought Witten back over the cushy job.

If Ware is interested i'm sure he would have similar reasoning.

No. If Dak got hurt I think a Romo comeback is almost a certainty. I don't think that scenario is far fetched.

He ended up in Denver because jerry said he wasn’t worth 10 mil a year anymore. Denver immediately gave him more than that.
He wasn't worth $10 mil in Denver either. Maybe he's healthy now, but he hit that wall twice with both teams.

I'd be more excited about Ware coming back than Witten. The timing of Witten's retirement leaves something to be desired, but he's definitely an upgrade as a blocking TE.

But there's a very real need defensively for obvious reasons.. If Ware comes back and is only at 80% of what he used to be, it's still better than a lot of edge rushers that are available in free agency.

He had ten sacks his first year
He had 7.5 in his second and they got a ring.
In that postseason he had 3.5 sacks in 3 games and 12 QB hits.

I bet Denver thought he was worth it.

They beat New England in the conference championship in 2015.

Ware had 7 hits on Brady and a half sack.
And then another 4 hits and 2 sacks in the super bowl.

Seeing as he wants our input, I think he'd be most popular with the fans if he signs for $20,000 per year or less, as opposed to more! ;)

This is beginning to sound like one these stupid movies where they get the old crew back together again.

Could he come back here or does Denver hold his rights?

With the loss of Gregory, I'm game. Depends on the $, but if he'll take a Witten-like discount, sign me up.
