TV actor Luke Perry, best known for his starring role in "Beverly Hills, 90210," died on Monday, his representatives said. He was 52.

The actor was rushed to the hospital on Wednesday after suffering a massive stroke at his home in Sherman Oaks neighborhood of Los Angeles, a spokesperson for Perry and officials said.

So sorry to see this and 52 is just way to young to check out of the game. Prayers for the family. RIP.

WoW,my stepson used to watch that show,,,I didn't know he was that old truthfully.

It's some pretty sobering news that's for sure.

*dude was on a one man crusade in the effort to resurrect the coolness of sportin' low sideburns as I recall.

Had fond memories of watching that show in the 90's with the family. I remember after the show, my mother would get on the phone with my aunt and they would discuss it for an hour or so.

On a side note, I was telling a friend that its hard to really get " Smells Like Teen Spirit" without having watched Beverly Hills 90210 in the early 90's. Those Teen Spirit deodorant commercials we pretty gratuitous during the early run of that show

The girl that played Andrea was really old ....like almost 30 for a HighSchool girl
As long as they can look the part. You gotta figure an older actor with more experience can give you more depth. Hardly Shakespeare, but as a prime time soap, it probably more skill than say Saved By The Bell. So I can see why they went down that path

Man, I watched every episode from start to finish, every season...

Hard to believe. 52, dang that's young to have a stroke. I worked with a fellow and his father had a big stroke, he is still alive, but he has expressed that he wished the stroke had taken him away...he is wheelchair bound, and pretty much blind...every once in a while, his one eye will catch images. He was an avid outdoorsman, hunting and fishing and all taken away in an instance...in the blink of an eye, your entire world has changed.

OMG, very devastating news. They say it runs in 3's. Sanford & Son star, Who's The Boss star and now Beverly Hills 90210 star.

The irony is Perry had the massive stroke the exact day some of the original cast of "Beverly Hills, 90210" had signed for a six-episode reboot this summer, on FOX.

I never really watched that show back then (caught a few episodes) but it was a huge part of my crowd growing up as a teenager in the 90s. Sad to hear. Way too young.
