It's been one of our biggest needs since Ratliff went insane and injury prone.

Ratliff was never meant to be a nt let alone a dt. Never seen a nt get pretzeled like he did by c/g double teams. Unlike Belichick, the Jones boys dont buy into the whole "stout up the middle" philosophy.

Foles was really only successful in one year under Chip. He was pretty blah his second year before he got hurt.

So in reality, he's had like one and a half really good seasons in the NFL - the 27/2 season under Chip and then the SB run in 2017.
I disagree. The Eagles were 7-2 when Foles went down. Only 2 losses were by less than a touchdown where the Eagles were in the red zone at the very end both times but couldn't punch it in for the win. (at 49ers and at Zona).

Butt Fumble came in after Foles broke his collarbone, they split their next two, then cremated us on Turkey day, then lost 3 in a row (including the one to us), then beat the Giants in a meaningless final game... 10-6 and no playoffs.

The previous year they were 10-6 with playoffs. Only difference was the Cowboys were great in 2014 but 8-8 in 2013.

In 2013 the Eagles were 3-5 when Foles took over as QB. He led them to a 7-1 record over the last 8 games of the season and they made the playoffs. The Eagles went 10-6 and lost by 2 points to the Saints in the 1st round
In 2014 he led the Eagles to a 5-2 record prior to getting hurt. Sanchez finished the season and failed to get the Eagles in the playoffs.
In 2015 (his only bad year) he struggled through 11 games under Jeff Fisher.
In 2016 he looked good when he got to play with the Chiefs but he was the back up to Alex Smith
In 2017 he went 2-1 to end the regular season after Wentz got hurt. The one loss was the last game of the season and Sudfield finished the game because it was meaningless. He then won 3 straight playoff games to win a SB.
In 2018 he went 1-1 to start the season and then the Eagles struggled under Wentz and were sitting at 6-7 when he took over. He won the last 3 regular season games which were the equivalent of playoff games and then 1 the first playoff game on the road against the Bears. Lost to the Saints in a game they may have won if Jeffery does not allow the ball to go through his hands for an int.

So, since 2013 he is 18-5 in the regular season as a starter for the Eagles (under 2 different coaching staffs) and 4-1 as a starter in the playoffs. Again, what has Teddy Bridgewater done?

He is definitely an interesting player. You don't think of him as "the guy" but he does have a stout resume, as you just pointed out. Maybe Dallas should fly him in. :muttley:

Also, why do I not remember him being in Kansas City? Mandela effect!! o_O:laugh:

Their record was not due to Foles who had pedestrian numbers when they started 7-2.

Jackson has the size (6-5 and 295) and the qualities that the Cowboys should want at DT.

Hell's Bells -- I wouldn't mind seeing him on this team at all. He'd fit this D's game to a "T."

Next one won't be anywhere near that
Likely not, but he obviously will be shopping around trying to get as close to that as possible, so we can’t assume he would be easy to sign on a team friendly deal.

If they don't even talk to him yet again it shows incompetence
Why is that? He really doesn’t add much if anything to the DT group we already have. If we are going to spend on a DT why wouldn’t we do it for a clear upgrade?

He had 3.5 sacks and 32 tackles last year - Crawford and Collins can both de better than that. Woods can do better in tackles, and is a bigger body clogging the middle.
