We probably have millions of citizens who have not pursued better careers and or positions because they couldn’t pass a pre hire drug screening.
We have prob an entire generation now in this country( most companies began pre hire drug screening in the 90’s) that have chisen different fields because they knew they couldn’t pass a test and another portion who have failed random drug test.
But it’s scheduled testing. What idiot can’t stop for 30 days a year especially for millions ? You aren’t subject to random testing unless you fail one. That's like my job. Drug tested coming in, randomly tested going forward. But that's because I drive their vehicles. Before I transferred from the toll collecting department we didn't have random drug testing, there was no need. The NFL has to be one of the few occupations that randomly drug test in a job that they don't need to.
Sorry bro..I changed 'Irvin' to 'Irving' in the thread title to make certain David is not confused as a distinct cousin of Michael.
Store clerk in 7-Elevens.My employer prohibits the use of marijuana. As an employee I have to follow those rules or not have a job. The same rules apply to him. Its ok if he wants to get high he just needs to find a job that will be ok with him doing that.

If we are making a wishlist..Ouch.
Let's go get us some CB's and WR's, we'll feel sooooo much better!!!
Hmmmm..When we consider about 99% of NFL pass these scheduled drug test it’s totally laughable to have any pity for this 1% or less which can’t.
Especially when you consider they are scheduled test. Basically if you can control yourself for about 30 days a year you can get high the rest of the year.
And we think we need to adjust for this 1%? Really??
What do we expect the 99% is willing to give up in negotiations to help this 1%?
I believe in principle what Irvin is saying.
Like Kapernick..if you believe it and say it publically..
you may deal with the fallout.
But to be unhappy your employer excludes it's use in your contract and you are going to cost yourself being a miiionaire in the process is mentally a big mistake.
This is an interesting debate along the lines of our discussions here.
David Irvin to me like Gregory..
was a high risk signing because our DL was so massively damaged after DeMarcus Ware was released..
the FO was churning the bottom of the barrel to field some sort of DL.
That is only the reason you would draft a guy like Gregory so high as we did knowing he had failed a Combine drug test before selecting him.
And then there is Tank and his suspension for 4 games his second year.
So while Marijuana can be debated..our FO transactions are pretty questionable, too.
It has come home to roost now and the team is clearly drowning in its decisions with our DL.
Comments?
40k buys a lot of weed..He is making a huge mistake. He has a kid to think about. He is retiring so he can collect a check from the NFL. He is 3 years vested so he will get a check. Not much maybe 40k a year. Not enough to buy weed.
This is one NFL player that I will actually be glad to see go broke. He deserves it to be honest.
I think he starts getting it after he retires. Not sure. But he will get great health care coverage for him and his kid for cheap.40k buys a lot of weed..
just saying..
But what's he gonna due till age 65.?
I believe they have the right to believe what they want. You lost when you said you believe in Kapernick and Irvin in principle...
Store clerk in 7-Elevens.
Them dudes are always high.
Drain bamaged.I believe they have the right to believe what they want.
Me..
I think football has left them brain damaged.
Over to you.
Yes.Is there a reason why you don't post in paragraphs? You seem to break up sentences and paragraphs with extra carriage returns. It ruins your message(s) IMO.
Crunch. That would explain why Cheeto's and Dorito's are always out of stock.
Who is that..a Dallas ambulance chaser?Does this mean the end of the Gregg Abbott ambulance chaser commercials I hope?
Wrong conclusion. And I don’t see any comparisons with this and Kappy. What he stood up for wasn’t a federally illegal and banned substance.
