So making the pro bowl twice in his first 3 years doesn’t warrant proper pay?

Just admit it, you’ve been proven dead wrong. Move on.

It doesnt warrant 30 million.how many QBs in the NFL are getting 30 million?

Lol...no one said dak is better than Brady. Now you trolls are making up lies. No shame.

The “eye test” is abundantly obvious that dak is the man.

Not anyone else’s fault you are blind to that.

:) I sure do remember some very amusing threads this summer, though.

See there you guys go again, ignoring everything the other side says. For one, many of use haven't said don't pay Dak, but it is more lets don't rush to overpay him now and wait and see how he does in 2019 with a tougher schedule, against harder opponents. Many of us have said, that we don't mind paying Dak, if he looks good in 2019 and proves he deserves his payday. But this seems like the safer bet, since if he totally flops in 2019, then we can draft a qb in 2020. So as you can see, we do have a solution on the quarterback situation, which you act like we never mentioned before and say that we have no solutions. :)

Again, your opinion is based on a “I’m not sure about dak” mindframe.

The reality is that’s it’s much smarter business paying him now. Before his contract is up. Before he has some breakout season. Oline is healthy. Cooper and Gallup another offseason. No more linehan. Dak maturing. All signs point to a great year offensively. Prices for qb is only going up. Sign him now. Those in the know see how good this kid is and will be.

Best chance for a discount is now!! Why else would we be signing him?

That is the reality because you say so? I suppose you consider this to be a fact and not an opinion. So we should go into this, with the mindset that Dak walks on water, and paying top 5 QB bucks, and then if he turns out to be a slightly above average QB, we were smart?

He deserved it in 2016. Many of us disagree with you that he deserved it in 2018. Ah let me guess, more name calling pending.

Lol....you disagree? NFL didn’t.

It’s a waste of time talking to someone that doesn’t understand the dynamics of the Qb position, players around them, and young Qb maturation.

Heck, you even show a poor understanding of qb contracts.

Complain about the going rate, not the Qb. It sucks, but that’s the way it works. In 3 years it will be middle of the pack. New contracts are always bigger.

Going rate for slightly above average QBs? You guys act like the going rate for a elite QB is the same as for an average one. And then you don't even want to wait and see where Dak falls into. Well you are completely sold on him.

I think some were hoping the Jones would wise up and not pay their barely (if that) Top 10 QB, elite QB money.
What part of what he is asked to do don't you guys get?

Second in wins over last three years, two division titles, top 5 in game winning drives, 3 straight winning seasons (we have done that one other time since we last won a SB).

Wow, I didn't realize you were such an expert in these matters. My primitive mind must of missed all the posts that made you look smart. Or is it perhaps that anybody that doesn't agree with you, in your mind doesn't understand the dynamics of the QB Position. What do you think about Jimmy Johnson thinking that Dak is not an accurate quarterback? Not going to answer that question?

The part where the above a Dak stat instead of a Team stat, but when we start talking about 3-5 it shifts from being a Dak stat to being a Team stat.

What did he do the 2nd half of the year with a real receiver and better blocking?

Common sense. Which you obviously lack.

Is the line going to improve with Frederick back and Williams not a rookie? What does common sense tell you?

Will dak play better with cooper and gallop with another offseason? What does common sense tell you?

Will the offense be better with linehan gone and less predictability? What does common sense tell you?

Dak in his 4th year? What does common sense tell you?

Not much? That’s what I thought.

Nothing expert about it. Common sense. Football 101 stuff.

Amazing how in 2017 you trolls didn’t want to talk about 2016 or the first 8 games of 2017. You just wanted to talk about the last 8 games. Now after 2018 you don’t want to talk about the last 8 games anymore. You just want to talk about the first 8. Lol

Agenda?

It’s already obvious how good the kid is. Just not to a romo cry baby like you. Which is of no consequence.

Well using what you say is common sense, lets look at someone who out performed Dak in the playoffs.

Trent Dilfer Superbowl year: quoting wikipedia, "Midway through the season, with the team at 5–3, Billick benched starting quarterback Tony Banks and replaced him with Trent Dilfer. Although his statistics were hardly distinguished (12 touchdowns, 11 interceptions, 76.6 passer rating), and the team lost in his first game as a starter, Dilfer led them to victory in their last seven regular season games to finish in second place in the AFC Central with a 12–4 record and entered the playoffs as a wild-card team."

So your common sense, would say that Trent Dilfer was an elite QB and deserves to be paid a contract so big that it would make his team average.

Is the line going to improve with Frederick back and Williams not a rookie? What does common sense tell you?

Not much? That’s what I thought.

Does your common sense lose you a lot of money in gambling? I'm far more cautious than you are. I don't like to assume things and like to have more evidence before making a decison.
