He's going to be a UFA starting tomorrow and nobody has even talked about this? How come this has gone under the radar?? He's our starting TE and probably worth 7-8 million per year. We must re-sign him, correct?

What has he ever done to make him worth more than wittens 2.5 base?

Jarwin and Schultz already started to come on. Draft a TE in the 4th-5th and let him learn from Witten for the 4th spot

how many years is Witten going to be here though? I think everyone assumes 2 years, right?

There's no need to sign Swaim when they have better players who will cost less in Jarwin n Shultz. Old Man Witten took Swaim's opportunity as the veteran who knows the system type guy. Now, drafting a TE with more upside than any of these guys should be the only play or stand pat.

No! 7-8 million per? Good lord. Witten and Shultz will move the chains just fine for half the price. Not to mention this is a very deep draft at TE this year.

I wasn't aware of that. Thanks for the heads up.

Now I have someone to harass.
Someone said something about our season being over with a loss and he said his wouldn't be since he could still watch the eagles. I believe it was an old game day thread from the previous season. Those things move so fast I'm not surprised nobody noticed.

I for one would re-sign Swaim.

Witten isn't a factor in my plans at all, he's just here again.

Jarwin came on late, but not consistently enough to call it good. Last year's draft pick did what a midround rookie TE does.

Swaim was showing flashes before he got hurt. He'll probably be dirt cheap, with low enough dead money to cut if something better comes along. Good competition for Jarwin.

Jarwin, Swaim, Witten, Schultz seems like a good enough group. Not spectacular but good enough. Very cheap, too.

Tell me about it. I hit the refresh button and on a game day thread and 5 new pages have popped up. Again. Thanks for the heads up.

Swaim is a former longhorn, correct mate? Longhorns are soft.
243 yards and 1 TD. 9.3 yards per catch.

This. I like Swaim, but we've got young guys we want to develop, and Old Man Witt, who actually has better availability than Swaim.

I expect someone to sign Swaim, and for him to play for years to come.

LOL...………no bro, we aint paying no $7 million a year for Witten's backup.

And yeah, Witten is the starter. He didnt come back to be anybody's backup, regardless of what they say about his snap count.

$7-8 million? That’s a hell of a lot for a guy with only 336 career yards and who has only had one healthy season in 4. He likely got Wally Pipped.
