Fans care because it would impact the team’s ability to pay other contracts, either for FA’s or their own players... although, to be fair, many fans do go overboard with it.

Meh. The team can find cap space if they want. That's their problem.

Ok than we should just sign all of the Free agents for whatever they ask for. I mean it's not our money, right? Should have singed Foles to be a back up QB! We should sign Amos and Thomas.

Yes, because that makes total sense.

No, obviously, but the value the team gets compared to the contracts they pay is a stupid thing to care about. All I care about is wins in the next year, and if that means we have 2.1 mil in cap space vs. 21, I dont care in the slightest

The article up on blogging the boys says Amos' range is about 8 million or so.
I would first try to get Thomas down a bit, if it does not happen in next few days - Amos, come on down !

I call for this every year and get laughed at

There are no points given for accounting for unused cap space

Restructure everyone and we have 60m in cap space and can sign EThomas, MJackson and AHumphrey plus our guys

Obviously I was being facetious. I don't care how much they roll over, but I'll take a passrusher and a stout DL before I'm paying a safety close to 10% of my cap.

Frankly, I am not totally convinced they are all that serious about upgrading S in FA anyway. They like Heath and Woods and probably think they can supplement with a mid to late round draft pick.

Guess the coaches tape was corrupted on that Goff 4th down run.

the secondary wont matter, if the DL stinks. Right now, it is worse than last year, especially if Lawrence is traded.

Im surprised theres no interest. This guy is 25 and very close to being the best safety in Football. His coverage skills are superb.
As many people here know, along with Humphries, Amos was my top FA target. Hope we get him signed.

Which leaves you Jeff Heath as a starter. At some point this front office has to realize it costs money to win titles
Pretty decent safety draft where some decent ones could slip to us.
Thornhill, Abram, Rapp, Etc

But I think we’re consideri g the FA market as well
