This team is pathetic...we needed to make the team better and instead lost Beasley and Wilsin, pissed off Dlaw making us worse. Oh yeah we got 300 year old 6.7sec Witten back. Screw you Jones

I’m only defending this move. I’m disappointed that they didn’t go after Collins or Amos, who would play SS. I like Woods and didn’t particularly want to spend huge on Thomas to bench Xavier.

For what it’s worth, I’d like the team to spend big on a couple of free agents like Amos. Young, talented and pro bowl quality.

So no, I’m not defending them although I do understand why they’re frugal. I just don’t come whine about it incessantly, saying the same thing over and over in each thread... like some people do.

They still have plenty of time to get some guys, so maybe they will. I’m glad they didn’t jump on Thomas.

Yeah but it didn't matter. When they traded for him they were still going to give him a contract this year. That point is moot. Unless you are insinuating they wanted him as a one year rental?IT makes no sense.
HE wanted even more money last year.

Coming off another injury two years straight. You better believe he was overpaid. But that's the name of the game. You want to play this free agency game you better overpay. I wouldn't pay it but I have no problem paying it especially in a win now mode.
