Nonsense. Balderdash. Fiddlesticks. All that.

The money already spent is the money already spent.

No one cares what was lost.

What they care about is what's coming up... and what's coming up is a 3/15 deadline that, had they kept him after Friday, they were gambling on his health IN THE FUTURE.

Wow, seriously?

You think "nobody cares" about losing $30 million and getting just 3 games in return? Lie to yourself, but you don't get to lie to anyone else. The Chiefs are taking a $15 million overall cap hit to get out of this horrific deal as soon as they possibly can. That tells all the "truth" that anyone needs. You blind yourself, everyone else can see.

No, he didn't even do that, check your facts. He played in games 14 and 15 and then didn't play again until the second game of the playoffs. Even "healthy" wasn't healthy.

So, this is a new concept that you hold out your more vulnerable players in the last game if your playoff slot is already established?

You're too eager to stand by your point here, my friend. Slow down. He wasn't hurt, he was being held out like a lot of players who the team doesn't want to risk.

Sean Lee is an Iron Man compared to Eric Berry.

Please God, no. I'd rather keep Jeff Heath

I don't know his health situation. But this is one class individual that would fit in well with this locker room. i categorize him as a football player

An injured football player. Can't help the club in the tub. We already have more than enough "good guys" that can't help us win games on Sundays. I have no interest in paying another one to do the same.

"Held out" of a playoff game too then? That's some measure of "risk protection".... Just stop already.

Wow, seriously.

That money is already gone.

It's not like there's some punitive rational motive in cutting a guy because he cost you all that money.

And your insistence that they were riled over the money already paid kinda gets kicked to the curb given today's date... 3/12.... if it was as you suggest, there's no reason you would wait until about 48 hours before the player's contract deadline comes up.

I totally understand and agree. I have been training for over 40 years. I know how an injury can hinder you. Whether you're recovered from it or not. But he still might be better at 3/4

30 year old, played in 3 games the past 2 seasons, and a cancer patient. But, he's the right kind of guy. Definitely a FA target for this team. Now, if only he'll accept a minimum contract.

I don't like signing free agents I feel like that's somebody else's left over. I'd rather have that young man looking to make a name for himself. That Bill Bates. Jeff Heath. superstars no but they're solid football players. That's how I feel about Eric Berry. But injuries matter

Do we want a starter or rotational player. Woods Jeff. When I really want is that defensive nose tackle pressure up the middle

Fly him I'm for a visit, work him out, and let team doctors look at him. If all checks out nothing wrong exploring a short term contract with minimum guarantees. Not sure he or Earl will stay healthy but at least worth doing due diligence.

Of course we like him

He was cut, meaning he wont affect the 4th rounder we will get from Bease.

That's how cheap this team this is.

If we were really considering Earl then why not Berry if he checks out medically? Last time we saw Earl he was being carted off the field....last time we saw Berry he was playing amazing in the playoffs.

I look at it like this.....if our medical doctors say its a go then its a go.

I have a favorite pig on the farm. I call her Hilda, she's so good we eat her one leg at a time. The message... EB could be Hilda without a leg. Here piggie piggie

Looked into it.

He had full practices until the last day prior to the 16th game.

He was limited for the divisional playoff, and was listed as questionable.

You're right. It does appear he did something in practice that kept him out until the conference championship.
