When Dlaw was at the same point that Taco was is in his career people were calling him a bum. You probably called him a bum.

Now in the same post you take a shot at Taco you express worry about losing Dlaw.

That's a special type of irony that I appreciate.

True dlaw had 1/2 good season in 3 years. This is tacos year or not is my point.

I'm saying if they lose dlaw they're pretty screwed

A cowboys fan who knows the Saints are a Super Bowl contender with Drew Brees .
They looked pedestrian after THE COWBOYS chewed them up and spit them out. Please. They have an aging QB, one good WR, and a coach leaving soon.

We shall see.

I’m not holding out hope this gets done. Bean counter Jones isn’t opening up the check book.
I bet the hold up has more to do with trade compensation than a deal between Jerry and Quinn.

I heard we made him an honest to goodness offer.

Apparently he's not a fan of Long John Silvers though. Savage.

Steven even threw in some gift certificates to Red Lobster and Olive Garden just to sweeten the pot:thumbup:

I am shocked he has not signed yet, just shocked:rolleyes:

The "irony" I'm seeing is you spreading a false narrative, where Lawrence was anywhere close to Taco "at the same point in his career and people were calling him a bum".

Firstly, they're nowhere near one another in terms of production. Lawrence had two sacks in the playoffs his rookie year and a key fumble recovery in a playoff win. Even after missing a large part of that season to injury. He then followed that up with 8 sacks in 2015, "the same point" where Taco's going from 3 sacks to 1 sack.

Secondly, Lawrence was never benched and deactivated on gamedays when he was healthy the way Taco was.

Nothing similar about where each was "at the same point".

While this is true, at this point in their careers, Lawrence was coming off an very productive season with 8 sacks. Taco, frankly, showed zero improvement. You could argue he actually got worse to the point they deactivated him from games. He was given an opportunity to take the DE spot in preseason opposite Lawrence and couldn't.

I won't call him a bum at this point but people should really stop invoking Demarcus Lawrence's name when talking Taco. At this point in their careers, the trend was entirely different.
