Nice seeing the Astros hand out a couple extensions yesterday. Bregman is their own mini-Trout.

Cole might be the next to be extended. I don't see Springer or Correa being interested in an extension. Of the two, I'd like to keep Springer. His enthusiasm ignites the team.

On a side note, Keuchel shouldn't have went with Boras and listened to the hype. The season's starting up and he's without a team. He's gonna have to swallow his pride and take a lesser deal or sit out the year. Should have taken the deal we offered him a couple years ago.

It's going to take a big, big extension to keep Cole and I'm less than 50/50 it happens.

I ain't fond of extending pitchers more than 4 or 5 years. Cole's willingness depends on if he's willing to wait long to get what he wants. If he will take 4 for 120 mil, it's a deal.

It's set for now. Expect Luhnow to get a better SP before the deadline. It'll be needed to compete against the Sox or Yanks in October.

I'm not so sure on Keuchel. At some point this season a major contender will eventually lose their #1 or #2 starter. You just know that all of them have Boras on speed dial just in case. Keuchel might get a paid a kings ransom for not even pitching an entire season

I think you're way off base. Not everyone holds their team hostage for max dollars.

Breg sure didn't. Best bang for the buck right there. We'll find out if Springer and Correa are willing to sign extensions. They weren't in the past, but it seems free agency ain't looking as good as it once did.

Extremely close knit group here. I think Correa and Springer both take around 15 mil/season.

I don't think so. Springer 15 to 20 per. Correa 25 to 30 per if he can stay healthy.
