For all the smack talked about the front office I have to give them much credit for not caving in on this one like they used to (i.e. Roy Williams, Galloway, etc.)

With all the "going to visit the Saints" talk and "we might just keep him" b.s. they actually stood their ground and gave up minimal compensation.

Although I hope he's not damaged goods. Alonzo Highsmith comes to mind, although losing next year's 6th rounder isn't too much to gamble on. Remember Charles Haley had a bad back too and he did ok.

Props to the front office!

The fins didn’t get fleeced. This is a win-win deal. The fins get rid of a big contract and gain a 6th round pick. They were going to get rid of Quinn either way. It’s a good deal for us too because it’s a one year deal. This is a good two way trade.

Plus, Miami is tanking for Tua. If Quinn was going to be gone after 2019 anyway, then just get rid of him earlier, put a sucky DE in, and lose more games.

What's it going to be then, eh?

This makes the loss of Gregory not so bad but we still have Tank to deal with. He says no surgery until he gets a long term deal, won't even consider signing the franchise tag. DWare, please come out of retirement, sign a one year deal and save us.

It has not been perfect, but when you factor in the deals that are completely cheap and relatively risk-free, it has been pretty remarkable after a slow start.
Tier 2 is the real sweet spot of FA. Thats where you can find reasonably priced production. You still have to be willing to pay decent money, but you aren't paying All Pro, Pro Bowl contracts to players there old team didnt deem important enough to lock up.

We arent there to where we are working tier 2. But this offseason was progess
