Once he resigns, IF he resigns.. all will be forgiven. As of right now, he definitely is in the dog house. Holding off on surgery, shooting down 20 million. Got to get what you can get, but this just looks like pure greed.

We don't necessarily know that D Law has done anything because he has remained pretty silent on the matter during the negotiation period.

Could be his agent that's being difficult. They want their cut too.

Bingo. Agents get paid a % so the higher the contract, the more they make. But the player is ultimately responsible, which is why I respect the heck out of Ivan Rodriguez for what he did with the Rangers in the 90's.

Let the player make his money. I ain’t mad at him, nor do I care enough if he’s alienating some cry baby fans. Lol

Love the new mantra trade him lol like DEs grow on trees. Taco is a perfect example.

Now this is funny....Jerry Jones has been
alienating fans/players for over 30 years.....Now D-Law is the problem? Typical backstabbing ownership move to lowball a player.

But please continue Jerry to tell everyone how broke you are....

Is this for real. I usually don't respond to posts this crazy but it's not a matter of how much money Jerry has ... he has plenty
of money and he'd spend it for a Lombardi. It's that pesky salary cap.

Anyone can alienate any group if they act foolishly (as Jerrah historically has). Despite Jerrah's past *******ity it doesn't preclude DLaw playing the stoopid card now and pizzing fans off.

DLaw's hardline stance may result in him losing favor with Cowboys fans even if he signs a contract.
Unless it is revealed that the Cowboys are offering him shotty deal, he will come across as a selfish player not concerned about having a good team around him.
If he signs a deal in the $20 million per year range, fans will accept that and scrutinize him but he will be scrutinized more if he get's a deal above the other top DE's.
It's hard to garner sympathy when you're complaining about being disrespected at only making $20 mill a year.
At $20 mill, the fan expectations will be high but if he were to get paid as the top DE, we will expect all-world domination. $20 mill is the going rate for top 5 DE's but being the Top Dog will require no excuse Freakish performance.
We all know that he is just below that Mack/Von Miller level.
It will be interesting to see if it's the avg per year or the guaranteed $ that is the hold up. He may be willing to accept the $20 mill range but just wants a huge guarantee.
The hell with the fans. Just read the threads here. 99% have no fricken clue what they are talking about.

LOL D-Law should be worrying about what the forum dwellers think when he’s trying to secure his financial future.

Yeah I’m serious. You telling me you can’t read thru a contract and tell if it’s going to benefit you or not?

Do you think negotiating isn’t a skill? Not all football players have it.

“Why do you need a lawyer bro? Just wing it!”

Its the surgery. He should have got the dam surgery a week after the season.

Cowboys should rescind the franchise tag and let him negotiate in the open market with a bum shoulder. Nobody is paying that dude 20 million per.

Let's recap....

Lawrence was a free agent going into the 2018 season.

Cowboys/Jerry didn't want to give him a long term deal then when it was reasonable...slapped the franchise tag on him in a prove it season.

Lawerence plays....and plays well.

Now it's 2019...Lawrence still wants a long term deal...and Cowboys and Jerry still don't want to pay.

Cowboys and Jerry only have themselves to blame for playing this cat and mouse game. They played...and lost. Pay up.

Lawrence earned his deal...fair and square.
Jerry didn't want to sign him in 2018 because he had health issues and he had ONE good season under his belt out o FOUR. In 2019 he had 14.5 sacks, the 3 years prior to that he had a total of 9 sacks. Then there were the injuries and the suspension. AND, last season he only had 10.5 sacks, a drop off from 2018. Now he needs surgery on his shoulder and there is no telling how well that will go. IF JJ signs him to the $85 million guaranteed he wants and he drops off the map, the same people screaming to give him what he wants will be the same one's cussing JJ for giving an injury prone player that kind of $$$.

I couldn't care less how much he's paid.......my only concern is the product they put on the field.
That's all I care about. If he gets paid and comes in and plays lights out then I'll support him. If he comes in lazy and flops I'll turn on him. This negotiating on Twitter is ridiculous.

If I get paid 20-22 million a year, I could care less what the fans think about me
Yep because if he actually helps the team win a championship, guess what. Those fans that are against him will change their mind. All any true fan cares about is winning.
