I kinda need Jerry Jones to use his power and charisma to get Randy Gregory to be treated fairly

you know the point I’m making here. That annheuser Busch is the biggest sponsor of the league and is the cause of so much violence and yet Gregory clearly has anxiety and or depression and needs this stuff.

We can change a pass interference law in weeks but we can’t let a man chase people around a football field bc he inhales a happy plant when he’s at his house?

I would feel this way if he played for a rival. What a waste of someone’s youth. No one wins when he sits at home over this. Stop asking him to pee in cups it’s creepy ya know
JJ is going to make sure that Randy Gregory becomes the poster child for changing the weed rule in the NFL.

When did they evolve to that stance?

AMA House of Delegates resolution 907-I16 states, "Our AMA urges that marijuana's status as a federal schedule I controlled substance be reviewed with the goal of facilitating the conduct of clinical research and development of cannabinoid-based medicines, and alternate delivery methods."

so the players/employees should have no rights?

NFL players are special talents with a limited amount of time to earn money. NBA players and MLB players have more more power in the negotiations/contracts, and have longer careers. Nothing wrong with the players having some say in what happens to them, especially considering the risks they endure.
I have never worked jobs where I got to make the rules. The players makes more in one year than the average Joe makes in a lifetime. These owners don’t owe these players anything. These are a lot of guys that would kill to have their jobs and the salary and benefits that comes with it.

Jerry has no more power over Roger Goodell to take it easy on Randy Gregory than the Man in The Moon. That much has already been proven! :D

Is the point that their job isn’t important like a firefighter or doctor so they should accept something unjust? I don’t like having my morality be decided on that justification.

And plus who’s to say doctors would be less enthused to practice if it wasn’t for the nfl and arts and so forth? We’re all in this together

I was trying to tactfully make that point without getting drawn into a debate that typically leads to polarized views. However, accepting something "unjust" is a very squishy discussion and not one i really want to get into as is debating an nfl players contribution to society vs say a dr or teacher.

I personally think that most all professional atheltes in the NFL/MLB/NBA are very much overpaid. Additionally, i do realize the possess a unique set of skills but my personal belief is that the salaries are totally out of control. As far as your morality, that's up to you, i am not passing judgement on anyone.

This is a common opinion. Just curious- what should happen with the money the sport generates if not go to the athletes who generate it? There's no coercion funneling the billions of dollars people are throwing at sports.

good question for sure and I don't have a good answer...honestly it's a difficult discussion to get into and so many polarized views.

the bloated stadium prices are driving many just to buy season tickets as an investment which is disappointing...its near impossible for a regular family to go to a game now...and I totally get supply and demand along with popularity...

no good answer really...i hope that movie theaters start to air games on s undays in 3d and sell beer....that would reduce some of the demand at stadiums and make for a better over all experience for many fans....

but no I don't have a solve to your question nor would I want to wade into that one head on

People with bi-polar 1 or 2 do not need weed. Infact, studies show the psychotic episodes are *more* common when they use weed. He is an undisciplined idiot.

Why play word games? Why not attack the strongest position of my argument? Not reshape it so I have to to keep clarifying until we both get bored.

Literally address the logical fallacy of being sponsored by beer, which begets violence(according to science). And excommunicating any athlete who takes in the non deadly herb that cures their pain and keeps them off of the actually addictive life changing opiates.

I won this thread with this post no one will address this Unjust conundrum.

Laws change and rules change. We aren’t even the same people we were 100 years ago. Social media changes so much about anxiety and depression.

This is the crux of the matter for people who actually don't care about people doing it. I feel robbed as a fan because I can't watch guys do what they do best because they prefer a less dangerous intoxicant.
