how about if he said- I think he's a really great QB?- but he didn't

Lol nice try splitting hairs.

He said he thinks he is a really good football player.

The only position Dak plays, is QB.

Therefore, he thinks he is a really good QB.

You’re arguing semantics now, because you failed to read the article closely and pay attention to what Staubach actually said.

It’s fine to disagree with Staubach. But don’t pretend he didn’t compliment Dak on his ability to play QB. Because he absolutely did.

out of all the QBs to suit up with the star on the helmet since 1960 where does dak fall in?

Roger
Aikman
Romo
White
Meridith
Dak?
(do we count bledsoe?)

who else? how many could you even guess that actually have started? 50, 100? quick search found this list, I mean you have to at least have started more then 2 seasons or more to count right?
https://www.ranker.com/list/all-dallas-cowboys-quarterbacks/ranker-nfl

Dak possibly is top 6 easy out of 50 to 100other QBs to play EVER for the Star.. if a players can rank right next to some of the best ever you have to give them credit and give us hope they Can succeed..

I know Dak has some weaknesses but its hard to ignore what hes done in 3 short years as far as W-L record, playoff appearances, 4th qtr comebacks etc..his playoff stats are every good, shows he really doesnt choke in big games... if we cant win with Dak then I blame coaches and players around him more, similar to Romos lack of big game appearances.

the biggest issue most have isnt keeping him , its what will it cost the DC FO against the cap, knowing his weaknesses? we all will take issue if its over 25 thats for sure..hes a 20-22 per year player from where I sit but over 25 that would create wide spread fan panic..

Roger, God bless him, will always be a Cowboys homer and you can probably find quotes of him praising Clint Stoerner if you look hard enough.
Unfortunately even the myth of Dak’s leadership has started to look pretty absurd lately, as it appears that the only place he and his high character is capable of leading his teammates is down to the local weed spot or to the police station after a bar room brawl...

What a stupid Post

You are interpreting what he said, he said he is a really good football player again that doesn't spin to he's a really good QB and he could of said that if he wanted to. I do not disagree he is a really good football player (if you make it to the NFL you are "really good"). He didn't say he was a good, really good, or great QB. So I take RS at his word Dak is a really good football player with some intangibles that his team mates like, but like me I believe Roger is waiting to see if Dak can be a really good maybe great QB hence the safe choice of words. Have a nice week-end .

The conversation about Dak Prescott always seems to center on one topic - talent versus intangibles.

As long as he keeps getting us the playoffs, winning and making pro bowls the trolls will continue look like The petty trolls they are.

roger did talk about dak's "accuracy issues" here on cz. so too did aikman. not vitriolic. but none the less openly stated.
When did Roger say this? I really only remember Troy saying this then sticking his foot in his mouth after Dak became the best QB in the NFC the second half of last season.

The upcoming season will be a HUGE referendum on Dak. He will be in his fourth year as the starter and will have his best receiving group to date. The Oline should be back to normal assuming Frederick is 100%. The offense (for the most part) is still young, but it is also very seasoned at this point. Barring major injury issues, this season should be Dak’s best. If it isn’t, the scrutiny about his ability will escalate tremendously. I think that’s fair. I’m a Dak supporter, but the time is now to take the next step.

You need to work on that skill as well as reading skills as you are sadly lacking in both, you being a Dak zealot can't resist putting a spin on everything relating to him. spin spin spin so sad and pathetic.

Keep splitting those hairs and arguing semantics.

I need to work on those skills? Now you’re using the “I know you are, but what am I, argument?”

Lol.

I do find it humorous that you think him saying he is a good football player, has nothing to do with his QB play. Even though, the only position Dak plays in football, is QB. Hilarious.
