This is good news! I think most of us have thought somewhere in the 20 mil range and supposedly with it being front loaded and the Cowboys being able to get out of it in 3 years I think this works. Now Dallas can focus on finding a DT or S with their 2nd round pick unless a QB like Drew Locker were to fall to them.

He manned up and signed the deal instead of waiting until July 15th

That was a big step and now the surgery is for next Weds

I am excited to see a healthy Tank for once

Not a huge fan of this deal if it causes problems extending cooper and Dak . I’m not convinced that lawerence and his injury history makes it worth it

I believe he needs to be dominant now not just good but Mack and miller dominant . I know you can pull up some stats that tank accrued against crappy tackles but watching games he doesn't take over games like Miller did and Mack does especially later in season

That said with addition of Quinn and the hope that Gregory can play and I’m optimistic that taco can get it then all we need is improved secondary play to be a dominant d cause I feel like our 2 LB will be the best in the biz

Dominant is what we need because the problem in my mind exist on the other side of the ball. We need this offensive group to come together and put up 28 pats a game consistently ifcthat can happen then SB is within our grasp

umm they may not have been great contracts but there were contracts given to Marion Barber, Both Roy Williams, plus the trades for RW and Galloway and what was that 1yr wonder safety we gave huge contract too? Id say at least Romo set records here with stats, he eared his money.Dlaw is wait and see but lets remember others Miles Austin etc etc..there were many and many bad contracts that are much worse then those two.thats just off the top of mind heck some say Dezcontract was bad but still not anywhere close to the others I mentioned..

thrilled that he signed, especially with Quinn on the other side (do you think HE will benefit from DLAW on the other side drawing doubles?)....the rotation will look pretty darned good once everyone is there - and I assume Crawford will play a little more 3T? He is an animal so that works for me


now, the best thing is that we will stop seeing the "trade Lawrence for _____" threads....my God.....

I heard someone say it won’t be long and all contracts will be less but all guaranteed. Like D-Law contract is for 105 million for 5 years but only 65 guaranteed. Which is over 3 years. So I am guessing the newer contracts will be simply put as a 3 year 65 million dollar contract with a additional 2 year option for the team.

Thats as maybe. I still do not like the fact the he used his injury as negotiating tactic. I sure hope the surgery clears this problem up and he is able to play at a high level day 1 because if he doesn't it's down to him.

That was Phil Mickleson at Jordan Spieth's wedding reception after Phil's pay per view match with Tiger. The guy who approached him is a sports talk guy of some sort.

I think this is a mistake, injury history along with fading down the stretch being his MO doesn't justify the crippling effect dollar wise this can cause, but as we know Jerry is the supreme talent evaluator in the NFL, he learned it from Al Davis. See if he can stay on the field and what his production is over 16 games now that he has the $$$$,in the end I think he will not live up anywhere close to the contract and I hope I am wrong.

Yea I do not like how owners hold players hostage after all the guaranteed money is gone from a contract. I'm just saying most of the money goes to the owners and they get to be owners for 30 to 50 years where as the average football career is 3 to 5 years. Pay them or let them go. Get rid of the cap too. Tom Brady shouldn't have to take a pay cut to put pieces around him or in Cowboys world Dak should be expected to take less money. If the owners do a bad contract life goes on; the player came up and it doesnt hurt your team long term.
