NE will attract guys all about winning because they have been winning SBs for over a decade. If you want to win, you want to get on the Team Belichick/Brady. There's no other team like that.

I doubt NE signs Lawrence to that contract, though most teams probably would have.

The bolded is why they win consistently.

Tweeting about the TEAM in a TEAM game your dam right is what I like to see. If you ever played the game you would know that. Spare the whole taking care of his family for a long time, the guy's family is not going to starve. He can enjoy it and still be a good supportive teammate.

Give me the NFL of the 1960's & 1970's when players played to win championships and the love of the game of football. Today is not about team, winning and the love of football.
It is all about me...me, social media and MONEY. Look at player's salaries and pensions back in those days and the punishment they still deal with and then just shake your head
at the self-centered, selfish players of today. That is all players, except those on the NE express. They are about winning SB's period.

What a jerk post.

Dude made no noise about playing on the tag last year. Literally signed it immediately.

Came out and had a great year.

This is exactly how it is supposed to work. We gave him a prove it deal. He proved it.

Oh, but he's all "me" because he negotiated like any professional would

Look out it’s the post police! Relax you dirty old skid mark it was all in good fun.

lmao

This has to be trolling

You say DLaw talks too much about himself, but you’re trying to bring your wife into the discussion you’re so insecure?

Trolling or hypocritical, and I can’t tell which.

Look at all the posts on this thread. I was having some fun. Lawrence does come across selfish though.

The complainers are a bunch of uptight azz clowns.

Yeah let’s go back to players being paid peanuts who then get irreversible brain damage and end up needing walkers and wheelchairs later in life or
Committing suicide.

There are plenty of players on the cowboys that love playing football. Doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be paid either.

Players getting paid relative to their value, has nothing to do with whether they love the game or not.

I actually really love my job and the people I work with. I also care about my companies success. I still don’t go to my boss offering to take a pay cut, and when yearly evaluation time comes, I still push for
The largest raise possible.

Working harder, to make more money, also benefits the company, who benefits from my hard work. The same applies for NFL players.

Lol. It must be hard for you to be a fan. You shouldn't like any player that ever says anything about money or holds out. Russell Wilson, Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, etc.. You're a delusional fan. The players absolutely care about money. Why didn't Beasley stay in Dallas? Wasnt he offered a contract where he "won't starve"? You basically admit that all a player needs to do is tweet a bunch of cliches to dupe you into thinking something. It's also pretty stupid of you to think that just because he cares about his money that means he's not a team guy. And yes, I have played the game before. D1. Just because you played intramural sports at your local directional school doesn't mean you know a lick about playing professionally. Or specifically, the NFL.

people in the 'zone will NEVER, EVER be happy....if DLAW signed for league minimum plus incentives, people would be saying "trade him, he has to be injured or smoking something illegal, better to get rid of him now"

LOL people who get upset over personal contract negotiations like these dudes aren't supposed to be "me first" when in negotiations.

"What about Ralph who is on the bubble, how do you think he feels about you getting all this money? How about Joe Blow at Cowboyszone? He's very upset, D-Law. You still sure you want this kind of money, big guy?"

I just don't like the guy. Good player, very good player. Not elite Imo.
He didn't bet on himself. He bet on jerry folding like a cheap deck chair.. He won.

Paid yes...pampered NO! Personally, I would rather pay our military men and especially special forces much more money than NFL players. They sacrifice everything for our freedom and welfare...not just
playing a game on Sunday.

Name a player that signed the highest contract at his position and turned around the next year and held out.
If it's not next year it will probably be the year after. You don't really believe we've heard the last of it. We'll save this post and drag it up again in a couple of years.
