Ha. What Greg fails to tell y'all is that I too was a big supporter of Romo... until he pulled off that Cabo bull during the playoffs. The dude went Hollywood and stayed that way throughout his 20s, wasting his youthful and most precious years. By the time he got it, he was in his 30s and his body was breaking down and constantly getting injured.

Saw it coming a mile away. Even said after that Cabo stunt that he would never be able to lead the Cowboys to any championship game (including a NFC Conference Championship game). Time proved that to be true.

The same goes for Dak. Best get it done while you're young and healthy before your body starts breaking down due to injury. Plenty of time to go Hollywood after you retire or after you win a few championships. Time does not wait for anyone.

So , you were supportive of Romo one year and then developed an agenda as his game improved. Of course. Makes perfect sense. Lol

I've always supported him. Just knew what to expect until he got serious. Too late by then. Body was breaking down.

I am yet to be won over by Dak, and worry that overpaying him at this time may not be prudent. However, the Jones boys want to do it and they write the cheques. Might as well do it now. Even if Dak has another average season the team is talented enough to chalk up wins. The price for even mediocre QBs will only go up.

Sign him now, before he looks like all world in the new offense.

I could see Dak having a big statistical season if everything fell into place and the playcalling improved dramatically. I don't know why I should expect Kellen Moore to do that, given that his resume is just a laminated sheet of 11x17 paper with nothing printed on it, but it could happen.

Tried to post a article but had clickable links that are banned here. Sorry mods. Should have edited it first.

I worry about all these contracts, especially Dak. All the spending on guys already on the roster points to retaining Garrett if things go okay or moving someone internally to head coach if things don’t work out. New coaches want “their guys” most of the time and if the Cowboys are under all these contracts that can’t be moved, well... Management is more or less saying “what we have now has to work because otherwise we can’t make big changes for a few years.”

I am not a "troll" but a committed cowboys fan who spent thousands of dollars crossing the atlantic to see my team play last year. You are typical of the loud mouthed fan who seems to find calling anyone with a different opinion from yourself a hater or troll. How old are you? Pathetic.
Prescott was a " last QB standing" pro bowl selection. His play has been erratic.
As a cowboys fan i have reservations on his play, many share those worries. It is regrettable you seem to think abusing posters who have these worries acceptable.
You shouting troll or hater will not stop those posters, only consistant play from Dak will.
I very much hope Dak will play well this year as it will benefit the team and put many minds to rest.

This team has enough talent that with an Elite passing QB we are serious contenders for Super Bowl.

Dak has some game he’s just not one of the better passers. It’s makes life tougher.

Imagine this offense with a Brees or Rodgers. Or a Goff or Mahomes.
well it wouldnt help as much as you might think.
Those guys do what they do on other teams, with different HC and staffs. also different players who are better coached,
and have better play designs.

So sure dallas would look better passing but might have more int's and would still fail to get past div round.

So, Dak is the only QB who could have success here. No one else could take us further ? Lol

about stephen saying this publicly, what purpose does it serve? It doesnt mean anything, except he would
like it to be done and out of the way soon.
Stephen is following in Jerry's type rhetoric because it sells hope to the fan base with a perception they are expecting and striving for more success.

While the Jone$ struggle in football operations they are master promoters.

You’re thinking more of a team with little talent and needing a total rebuild. The new coach will come in and likely look to trade aging talent in order to have the resources to get more younger talent in the draft. The Cowboys are a built team that should be having a lot of success. If they don’t and Garrett is let go, they will be looking for a coach who they believe can work with the existing talent and have that success Garrett couldn’t. They would not be looking for a coach that would want to burn it all down and start over. That could come from within in Richard but I think most coaches out there would look at our young roster and want to keep most of it intact.
