I wasn’t born then but I surmise this would be like watching Romo fumble the pat snap

Is Terry Bradshaw really as dumb as everyone says he is? Wow! Even a dummy is right at least 2 times a day.

That’s the SB when, in the days leading up to the game, Hollywood Henderson opined to the press that Terry Bradshaw “was so dumb he couldn’t spell ‘cat’ if you spotted him the ‘c’ and the ‘t’.”

What most people don’t know is, in the Steelers’ locker-room after the game, while he was sipping champagne, Bradshaw said, “Hey, guys...somebody go ask Henderson if he knows how to spell ‘loser’.”

Cried like a baby after that game, as well as “The Catch” game. Took me 30 years to get most of the sting of “The Catch” game out of my system, even AFTER we got our revenge on their TURF in the ‘92 NFC championship. Despite 23 years without a visit to the big dance, some of you youngins still don’t know pain until you’ve lived through either the Ice Bowl, Super Bowl XIII (THE best SB in NFL history up to that point in time), or “The Catch” game.

How many of you even know that there is an entire book written about that ‘81 NFC championship game aptly titled “The Catch”??

EDIT: Ooopsss...forgot about the ‘94 NFC championship game and the no-P.I. call for Deion on Michael Irvin. Irvin did that he STILL thinks about that game everyday...

Are they showing the actual live game? May get the NFL channel again if they would show old games again in their entirety

Our pass defense, getting away from the running game and mistakes (Jackie Smith drop, Randy White fumble, and bad PI Call) cost us the game. Was a clash of the titans, 2 actual Super teams....we have not and probably will never see that again. Pittsburgh had a dominating team, but the Cowboys stuck right with them, best SB I ever saw.

I won't say it's a weakness to skip watching the losses. Even in a loss there are learning experiences.
,,er,, only if the felt pain& plate full of loserdom's rehashed& refried S.B. crap sandwich w/ a 16oz clear beer glass full of fine ground flour quality dirt to help wash the memory of that day down with,,, was but of a fleeting remembrance in one's recollections ,,,Oh, Ya! I can embrace yer' Wizened point,,,:lmao:

Landry would have choked Smith on the field were he not a religious man. That PI call left a bad taste in my mouth.

in my opinion...THIS was the game we didn't recover from....not the '81 Nfc Championship game loss to the 49ers.
we beat the steelers...we win all 3 of those Nfc Title games in the 80s.
dang steelers.
helluva game tho...one for the ages.
Coach Landry is/was one of a kind.
