We have offensive weapons last time I checked too. All depends on our coaching.

Yes we do, but we all know the difference comes down to the QB. Both Dallas and NYG have elite RB's and Elite WR's (or close to elite). I love Dak, but he doesn't hold a candle to Wilson. Coaching is subpar for both, but if they let Wilson loose, it's going to be a problem for the NFC East.

Wilson is a better QB. I think Wilson is what Dak has a shot to be. I actually dont think Dak will be THAT good. Doesnt mean we cant win with him. Dak already beat Wilson in the playoffs this year.

But would I rather have Dak for 10 years or Wilson for 5? Tough one.

Maybe you are right about Wilson, but using these guys as examples don't really tell us that. Newton is younger than Wilson, and Rivers, Brees and Eli don't rely on their legs like Wilson does. Not to mention, not every player follows the same trajectory. The key for Wilson long term will be how he adjusts as his raw athleticism starts to fade with age.

Zeke + 2020 1st + Byron Jones might get it done. I don’t think they’d trade away Wilson because they wouldn’t pay him 30+m just to get back Dak who’d command 25+m.

For the Cowboys, upgrading the most important position, even if it’s financially severe for a marginal-to-decent upgrade is always worth its when it a QB. Could be the difference between 1 playoff win and all 4.

Major downside would be an asset like Dak who’s worth substantially more to a Dallas team than he is really to anyone else. Do you foresee anyone giving you a 1st for him? Maybe Miami considers a high 2nd rounder? Is that even logical when Rosen or Haskins or Murray are within their reach?

If anyone thinks our front office is going to give Wilson a contract that includes a scaling amount of money as the salary cap increase and additional money through additional revenues from TV and gambling then you don't know business. No owner of a business in their right mind would do that in any business. Seattle will not either. They will just franchise him in 2020 and 2021 and maybe even 2022 depending on what the number might be and what the salary cap is. Wilson will be a Seahawks at least through 2021.

We should sign Dak now before his price goes way up ,our Oline looks better this year and Dak could have his best year ,the time to sign him is now.
