1.) Oline health/consistency
We’ve learned the hard way this team feeds off that line and things can look ugly if things are clicking up front

2.) Dak needs to keep progressing and take the next step especially in the playoffs.. running game got shut down and he needed to rip it in the air

3.) Run defense we got destroyed by a fat RB who needed to be scrapped off the field every run because he couldn’t pick himself up.... that’s embarrassing

I’m going with Kellen Moore like practically everyone else did, but also throw in Kris Richard as well.

The truth is that, at this point, we pretty much know what we’re going to get out of most of our players.

Dak is clutch. He’ll take some bad sacks but he will throw more touchdowns than interceptions, he’ll run for about 6 more touchdowns, and he’ll win the game for you if the team is down by less than 7 with two minutes left.

Zeke is a grinder and now he has added pass catching to his arsenal. Zeke will run for another 1500 yards and be the workhorse he always is.

The offensive line should go back to being one of the best in the game with Fredbeard back. The defense will be top 3 with two war daddies on the ends, two good corners and the league’s best linebacking combination.

What failed this team last year is coaching, and it has nothing to do with Garrett. Garrett is a leader and a motivator but he’s not a game day coach.

That means Kris Richard and Kellen Moore are the keys to this team’s success. Their ability to game plan and call the right plays will determine whether or not this is a Super Bowl caliber team. I really believe there is already enough talent at the skill positions.

I say Kellen Moore. If he can revive this offense and be creative enough to give us an advantage (instead of ordering vanilla for much of a game), I think Dak can give us enough to get us into at least the NFC Championship Game - injuries notwithstanding.

Who say ye!
...Hear Hear...although they all must play their positions well on both sides of the ball,... Dak and Kellen must be effective!...

I say Garrett. In Kellen he found someone to collaborate with. In Colombo he got more intensity.

Jason lobbied for and got the talent he needed for his core play action deep timing system.

frankly, Scott was a bad idea forced on Jason and is now gone.

the biggest feature I see is the addition of blazing speed outside - Hurns, Austin, Gallup, Cooper, Cobb, and Wilson all faster than they players they replaced,
same for Jarwin and Schultz.
they may not be done. Hurns, Austin, and Cobb are past their prime, IMO either Austin or Cobb will be here 3 years from now
note the big investments - Gallup and Cooper - not just speed - scary deep speed
something else I would note everyone of those guys are known for good hands
despite 5 new WRs and 2 new TEs and 56 sacks, these guys had the 2nd fewest drops last year, just 10
that takes pretty good coaching and the right players

to make those changes and get to the playoffs is very hard to do - still, their season ended one drive short of the NFC title game

this is Jason's O for better or worse - he earned it

DAK PRESCOTT. Too easy. We know we can run the ball. If Dak can’t consistently move the chains we won’t go far

Has to Start with Moore can he make us less predictable? Then it ends with Dak can he make the throws and push the ball down the field. If those two things happen We Win the NFC East and have a good chance at a SB run. This also will open it up for Zeke and We know what we have in Zeke.

Moore can help this out but Dak has to go out and execute it
I thought LInehan did some boneheaded predictable play calls but at the same time I think he tried to play to Daks strengths of keeping it simple and throwing short. I really think Daks consistency and accuracy is why the play calling doesnt feature more of a mid field use.

Right now to me its Dak.

Just because we have none behind him and not because he is so good.

If he goes down our offense will stall. If Zeke goes down we still will have some kind of running game. If Cooper goes down we will still have some kind of passing game. But if Dak goes down there is no backup plan.

Moore is a nice gimmick to have right now. But i dont think he can make a medicore QB a great one just thru a suprisingly creative gameplan. He after all will be bound to the Imitations of his QB like linehan was.

So your saying it could be the same plays but with men in motion to disguise it
Let Coop line up in the slot or wide anything but the same place every play
Exactly. That way the players aren’t having to learn a whole new playbook. Using the same type patterns but motion and misdirection. And can run multiple plays from the same formation.

Moore is the ultimate 'out' for Garrett

If he succeeds Garrett gets an extension
If he struggles, "it was his first year as OC, he needs another year", Garrett gets an extension
If he fails miserably, "Moore was holding the offense back", Garrett gets an extension

Have details of his contract been released? I don't recall. Curious how long his leash is.

I think the best off-season move has been Jon Kitna. He is going to have the biggest impact of all.

We are a couple of topnotch DT's and a ballhawking S away from being top 3

He actually didn't.

Dak's rook year, Linehan called plays that way because Dak was a rook. It was publicized after his first year that they were exanding the playbook, at which time Linny went back to his beloved long developing routes.
