May be
And if he was released I’d look
But trading for him is a waste of a pick to me
A 3rd or 4th end pick is very valuable
Considering just how many guys we don’t have signed next year those picks are huge

agreed.

Would they be willing to let a former top 3 pick go cheap enough for Dallas to be interested though?

Unless they really value Lewis or maybe see Charlton as a better fit. Then maybe they could a deal around that

Who knows. I wouldn’t trade anything more than Taco straight up and maybe a Day 3 pick.

I understand - and I don’t really disagree - but I really liked Thomas coming out in that draft. He’s sudden enough and has the size to create real problems on a pass rush from the 3T spot.

I don’t think he’d ever be more than a run stopper at DE but I like his pass rush inside.

He has the character, smarts and intangibles that any team would love... but especially this team.

Solomon wouldn’t be the savior but he could be an integral part of a DL rotation.

Anyway, it all depends on the asking price. I wouldn’t give up a whole lot but at the right price I absolutely would bring him in.

Crazy measurables, wildly inconsistent effort.

Not enough want to yet, if ever.

i agree with your, heck we can draft that if we really want.

Would still take him for 3rd day pick though. His explosive first step at 3 tech is insane.

Just does not finish. Head shaker. But he can beat the bushes for our finishers like D-Law and Gregory (if he ever returns).

Has this board lost it's collective mind? Why would we trade Taco or a 3rd or 4th or any player that could contribute for Thomas? Guy has like 4 or 5 career sacks in two years. He's too short to play DE for us, he's too light to play DT for us and he's scheduled to make, like 16 mil in the next two years. So you guys want to step up to that contract and trade away a player and/or picks for Thomas, in a year where we might be seeing the deepest DL draft class in history, according to some talent guys? Why in the world would we ever do this?

I don't get it.....

I'd say yes, 100%.

I know his numbers are bad, but I think he's out of place as a DE. Maybe a switch to DT is just what the doctor ordered.
