I cant stop laughing when people talk abou the "Patriots Blueprint."
When we have Tom Brady, I will agree with you.... run that playbook. We Have Dak Prescott.
And Bellychickens, the best HC of his era and top 10 all time.

Star players should not be expendable. When we have Belicheck as coach we can start thinking that way.

There’s a price for every player. The truth is that Zeke is part of the brand and will most likely not go anywhere. If the right offer comes along in a stocked draft and Zeke starts getting long in the tooth, you have to consider letting go. Don’t think we have to worry about it for a while tho.

 There should be no question. Zeke is an elite RB. Elite players are not "expendable".

The offense was back to normal with Tyron back when Zeke was out. Don't know how this is so difficult to understand.

In four games without Zeke, that we had Tyron we scored 38, 30, 20 and 36 points lol. All of them W's.

Yahoooo we beat a dead Giants twice and a going nowhere skins and Raider teams oh man what victories they we're......Now lets not forget about how we got spanked by the Bolts and Eagles at home where we scored FG only!!!!

This is kind of bull**** because the same time Elliot went out one of the most important players on the offense(Tyron Smith) was also out injured...so yeah when you're missing multiple all pros in your offense it's not going to be very great. This was also the same year we had replaced Leary.

AND the same year that Free retired.

Lost Free, Leary, and then Tyron for a spell. Signs of the Oline weakening were already there in the first 8 games. Offense wasn't quite as crisp. Then when Chaz Green replaces Smith and Zeke went out, those were the final blows to the offense.
It really isn't rocket science. The injuries and defections along the Oline and at WR and TE have been well documented and the performance of the offense, Oline, and Dak have followed that trend. This is all normal, football 101 analysis and what you would expect.

Then you factor in the firing of Alexander in 2018 and the entrance of Cooper and the offense starts back on an upward trend. Pretty simple analysis here.

Oline was great in 2016, good in 2017 until Smith went out, and then marginal at best in 2018.

Sacks given up by the Oline went from 28 to 32 to 51 in those years. All pretty obvious stuff as the trend of the Oline talent has spiraled down.

And Dak was a constant at QB in all 3 of those years. And the less sacks were when he was younger and less experienced. Doesn't take a genius to see that the downward spiral of the Oline is the cause of the problems with sacks and pressure.

Stephen Jones has said Gurley's contract is where Zeke's starts.
that was before Bell got his deal and set the new market, no NFL team is going to make that Rams mistake again including the rams..

we can thank Bell and IMO thats what Zeke should get not be the highest paid back because Gurleys IMO doesnt count.. Bell was more then most want to pay but him holding out skipping year and coming back and getting less then Gurley rest the RB Market and the FO has deal they can meet or slightly exceed..

I dont think Zeke is going to get greedy just wants to be paid well and a Bell structured contract will do that..if hes truly ready to get more then TG, I say use him up and say goodbye.. its the only reason we let Murry go, we offered fair contract but he wanted one more year and the FO said no , he went to philly and sat lol

wait and see is all we can do but I doubt the cowboys go crazy with this contract offer and plenty of time to figure it out..

Zeke is the best back in the league. Bell got signed this offseason. Zeke gets a deal next year or the one after if they franchise him and will surely get paid more than Bell and Gurley. Every year the $ is going up.

Demarco Murray is not Ezekiel Elliott and Zeke sets the tone for both sides of the ball and is a special player, not just a RB. He hits with the ball in his hand and pops big plays when we need them the most 9/10 times. The running back position is devalued what it is in this league but this whole team is built around this guy.

You think you want to show the rest of the team that you're going to just use a guy who probably would have been the 1st RB since a Jim Brown to win the rushing title his 1st 3 years in the league? You want players to play all out and you want to show them you're going to destroy them and they won't get paid? No shot. The league knows who and what Ezekiel Elliott is. Special gets paid special.

Complete opinion, he has received no MVP votes yet Gurley has. Also on PFF he was no where near the number 1 back, yes he's great, but like always on these forums talent is overstated for majority of the team.

debate all you want , my opinion he will not get more then Gurley..that was huge misstep the rams realize..its not the market..bell is closer to reality for top rb..sure money goes up doesnt mean it will get out of control at the RB position as that the one that scares most teams with wear and tear and suddenly dropping off rhe cliff.. dont devalue DM he OWNS by long shot the single season rushing record in dallas and was very productive..i mentioned him because mileage vs LT contracts and big money for Rbs as an example..
